began learning to play the piano when he was 12/13 but dropped it early on to take up learning the clarinet instead
lived in Moscow briefly as a child with his parents and elder sister, learned basic Russian; he referred to Moscow as âhomeâ and often asked when they were going back
has an AK-47 hanging in his home beside his guitar, for practicality, of course
he married Nikki Landers mostly because he hated his surname (Hiersche) and he thought âPaul Landersâ would make a great rockstar name. they argued often about getting married and just decided âfuck it, why notâ in the end. (thanks @wiener-blutâ, for sharing this knowledge with me)
back during the Feeling B days, Paul often criticized other peoplesâ playing, including Schneider, who felt demoralized and discouraged because of it. Paul would say he was âdoing it wrongâ and should do it another way, which is partially why Schneider didnât want him to join Rammstein at firstâbecause he was a bossy little brat. heâs not that way anymore, though.

Schneider was married to a Russian woman named Regina for 3 years, from May 2005 until 2009; they divorced presumably because she couldnât handle how he was always away for work with Rammstein
