Oof you’ve caught me in a bad place because I haven’t watched silent hill playthrus in a long while! I usually just play them myself ahaha.
But uh! If I’m remembering correctly, AnEternalEnigma’s silent hill playthroughs in general were pretty good! He’s suuuuuper into silent hill so I’m not surprised personally. I remember really enjoying his playthrough of 4 I think? Here’s his playthrough of 2.
Definitely recommend AGAINST watching the botched up remastered ports of 2 and 3; watch the originals for sure.
now that we’re on the subject, the chara stan theory that chara is the narrator and thus Definitely A Great Person Can’t You See It’s In The Game never made any sense to me whatsoever
I can personally see the theory a little bit in some character dialogue and observations, imho
BUT this doesn't somehow make them immune to criticism like intense chara stans think it does. Like (possibly) having quirky thoughts, behaviors, and dialogue doesn't suddenly make them as a character 100% Impossible To Be Bad and it's Wild that people think otherwise

It's been a while but basically I followed disc for her art style, and one day she was vague posting/venting about people disliking chara and then eventually went into this huge ass rant about how like uh. somehow asriel abused chara like out of nowhere I think to. Maybe justify her sympathizing with their character?
I think one of the "proofs" she provided for her "asriel is abusive" theory was the fucking. video audio in the pacifist run in the true lab where asriel tells chara to "stop making that creepy face" when they supposedly were making silly faces at the camera. Also I think other "evidence" for their theory was asriel hesitating about going with their plan of killing humans being "proof asriel was abusive to them" like... seriously.
it was a mess lmao I unfollowed fucking instantly after she pulled that shit. I think at the time the ppl who follow her for her art either 1) had no idea this happened or 2) were weird as hell chara stans
like chara is a sympathetic character in some aspects but this fucking shit was absolutely unreal. It felt like a fucking dream but I never forgot this shit happened!
