- Now, don't get Lola wrong. Derby's not terrible: he did offer/flaunted he could buy her more on this one "date" than her average heartthrob did in fortnight, but she's NEVER had a man do it a quarter more for the show than Derby Harrington. He's a very good dancer, either way— So it was up to a good start. They could hold a conversation, and they half did— But he went away to Gary cue by a gesture from him, as soon as the first dance ended; with a low promise on coming to scoop her up later.. one that did seem to be forgotten rather quickly. Lola had no time to worry about that, either way. She turned her head and there was another hand reaching to spin her around.

- Friends since anyone who knows them can remember, close as peas in a pod; you'd expect them to share a peaceful, if ever lightly, friendly teasing dance, assumming they still held any ounce of decorum towards eachother, but that was, infact, not the case. They both looked for a way to make the other be the one to crash out first, and if that included stomping eachother to see who grunted louder, then so be it. And after all of their tussling, their banter and their jabs, Larry was the only one to notice if Lola's tiara was crooked, the only one who held her hand a bit longer when she was being pulled aside, and maybe, just maybe, the only friend she had in there. She shot him a glance while being pulled aside, promising to find him later.

It's so easy to have a good time when Remerus is around; Even more when he was so eager to spend his time with Lola. You could tell he was waiting to get his dance, and she couldn't be any happier to play along. He listened every word coming out of her mouth, and even with Remy being the best listener between all of her partners for the night, he was also the one who held more scrutinize by Johnny. Maybe because they already were familiar with eachother, maybe because he enjoyed keeping the boy on his toes: but any way it was, Remy got enough attention from both of them to spare around, and wasn't that just perfect?

He was different from the rest of the boys she walked around with all of that night.. he was gentler. Really, really gentler: He held her hand like he was afraid it'd come apart if he squeezed, and even if he didn't whisper, he didn't raise his voice at all, either: like he didn't mind who heard, but he wasn't trying to get anyone to, either. She found peace in those holding hands and his careful spins, and as their gazes finally were to lock for the end of the song, the noon of Peppe's eyes found the midnight in Lola's own. That blue.. a color only seen on the sea and the sky, a blue from the early month of mid july, for a man as warm as summer.

Gary Smith. What a piece of work, that one. He swung his way to Lola's side as silent as a snake, just like everything the man did, and the conversation started just as soon as the first note of the melody surrounding them played. They were a constant back and forth, and between who could hide an 'unintentional' praise towards the other better, and the debate on who took the longest to find the other, the song was soon coming to an end: not even a fraction of the time they needed, but just enough for Gary to finish with a dramatic end, just like everything he did, doing nothing but hope Johnny's prying eyes weren't anywhere too close.
That man sure was something.

She, for once, was the one to look for someone. Petey did infact promised to congratulate her if she won prom queen, wich was yet to happen— so she ventured in a look for him. She found out two things: One, that Petey, Pete Kowalski himself, was wasted out of his mind, and two, that wherever Jimmy was, it was the place to find him, accompanied by the fact that even after all of their minor differences, Hopkins sure knew how to appreciate nice things.
