Smite Set Build + Tips
Set is ability based, not aa based. I get it, his passive and ult make you think he should be aa, but skewer + spawns do SO much damage, and you get your ult ticks from your 3 constantly.
His 3 gives him physical damage mitigation, so go ahead and try the tower dive if you're feeling yourself, just make sure you can get out. It also gives you slow immunity, so go fuck that He Bo UP bb. (Seriously its a bloated ability this thing does everything)
Level order is 4, 1, 2, 3. Not 4, 1, 3, 2. This isn't even because of the damage increase recently added to the 2, its because it increases the duration of the spawns meaning you'll be more likely to be able to throw a single boy twice with skewer.
Keep mana usage light until blackthorn hammer/hydras lament is online, then you're an artillery assassin (as stupid as that sounds). Focus more on hitting the skewer itself than hitting the bois, as skewer will apply item effects like brawlers.
Use youre 2 to stop people from backing by just placing a boy on top of em or launching a boy at them with skewer.
When your 3 gets bugged (you tried to use it right as you got hard CC'd and now the icon is flashing but not going) you gotta reset it by teleporting to a boy.
Set with ult up wins damn near every 1v1. You can outheal & out-damage an ulting anubis as long as you can get on top of him.
Duel Builds
Fighting physical
Attackers blessing and cudgel start
Cudgel into Blackthorn (you can go boots first if you have a need for speed)
Ninja Tabi
Breastplate of Valor OR Brawlers Beat Stick if they have healing
Whichever one of ^ those you didn't get
Hydras Lament (place a spawn, smack, spawn, smack, skewer, smack, rinse & repeat)
Heartseeker or more defense if you're losing, new berserkers shield fits pretty well here, or midguardian if they are aa based.
What you sell boots for is dependant on too many things for me to give you something exact, but I often put a toxic blade right there.
Relics are probably bracer & shell, anything can work but if you can afford to avoid aegis I'd reccomend it, you want to be able to fight while you pop relics. Set is uniquely able to avoid needing a sprint if they get a horrific due to slow immunity from his 3.
Fighting Magical
Almost exactly the same just swap blackthorn for Runic Shield, breastplate of Valor for genjis, and get the hydras earlier if you can, you'll need the mp5.
Conquest builds
Don't play Set in conquest, brute minions have better buff clear than him.
