9. Do you have any addictions?
Not really! I used to! When I was 17 I was quite the junkie. Bad days. I hope none of you are going through that or ever have to.
12. What are your dreams?
Good one! Um. Well last night I dreamt that I was hanging out at a house with some family members and then night fell and actually this kinda ties into the other question because all of those people that used to junk with me ended up coming over like armed and using axes to bust down the door to this house and everything was green and pink and I ended up having to fight several of them to the death! It was scary. I ended up going for help/distracting them and then finally all these police cars and ambulances and things drove by but they didn’t stop to help me or the injured parties and I believe it ended with the survivors and myself hot-tubbing together. I’d rather not analyze that dream. It seems a mite disturbing.

I daydream about being a hairdresser and talking to cool people, from whom I will draw inspiration for my writing. And then I'll be published and make some extra money to cushion me financially. In effect, I will be doing two things I love.
This is a simple, sweet, and realistic day dream. I like the way it ties so well into reality, while at the same time being rather unusual in that we don’t often imagine hair dressers to be writers - a perception I think it’s about time we questioned. I wonder what kind of books or stories it will lead to. Although I’m not sure about the idea of writing money being a cushion. From what I’ve heard, usually writers end up cushioning themselves with teaching positions. I do hope that you are as wildly successful as your day dream suggests.
I fantasize about what would happen if my family had stayed in my childhood home. Like my rebellious goth phase probably would have been even weaker, and I would have settled for the guy I had a crush on in 4th grade because it was a small town.
Ah, this fantasy is a classic. The “what if” nostalgia that we all so commonly experience. In your case, it seems to focus on what your family has done. One of the things I appreciate about your fantasy is that it seems neither positive nor negative - a very neutral fantasy (with the exception of the settling).
