NEW MUSIC: Smartbeatz x Daps Ade x Rage – Don’t Be Shy

Off the back of his well-received debut project “Certified (The Mixtape)”, budding Afrobeats Super Producer Smartbeatz returns with a brand new record titled “Don’t be Shy” which features up and rising artists Rage and Daps Ade.

The song’s melody is driven by a combination of exciting pop synths, lush vocals delivered by both artists and a groovy array of drum progression as they sing about their strong feelings for a lady they fancy and encouraging her to not be shy.

Smartbeatz  is one to watch out for this year.

New Music: Smartbeatz x Yemi Rush – Tell Me

 Taken from his forthcoming debut mixtape Certified, which will feature some of the best emerging artists from the fast-growing wave of UK Afrobeats music in 2018, London-based super producer Smartbeatz is proud to unveil his brand new single titled “Tell Me” featuring East London Afrobeats and R&B crooner Yemi Rush, as premiered via OkayAfrica.

Backed by excellent live instrumentation, including a catchy sub bassline, melodic synth chords, muted trumpet injections and lush percussions, cleverly crafted by SmartBeatz, “Tell Me” is an infectious tune from start to finish, held together nicely by Yemi Rush’s infectious vocal delivery, assured flow, and a memorable chorus that will leave you singing along after one listen.

Speaking about how “Tell Me” came about, SmartBeatz says, “this is the first track on my ‘Certified’ project, and it sets the tone. It’s also the first time I’ve worked with Yemi Rush. Before I produced the track, I listened to all his previous music, to understand his flow and style of music. I really like what he does, his songs have loads of melody, which I like, and it’s been a joy to produce this tune for him”.

New Music: Smartbeatz x JKells - My Personal Person

After his hot banging release “Alkayida” (call the police) featuring Sowa from the Federal Capital, London Based Super Producer Smartbeatz is back with another hit single titled “My Personal Person”, from his upcoming EP Qualified.

A track for the lovers, Smartbeatz teamed up with upcoming vocalist JKells’s  from Canada to create this new love inspired song. 

Smartbeatz groovy drum patterns along with JKells’s melodic voice helps create this slow Afro R&B track, suitable for all age group.
