I’ve been admittedly intrigued of it and its plot because the place is not Hyrule and the masks but the timeloop of 72 hours and not having extra time to explore the surroundings with no limit has been a huge turn-off for me. (Also completing the game with minimum amount of hearts - yikes that’ll be hard if I try to do that with no experience.) One part of the joy in games has been to loiter in Hyrule Field and cut grass & I’m certain that I’d be frustrated on not being able to do that and replay the Song of Time all over again XD Maybe, after I have completed Ocarina of Time my mind has changed but for now, LPs shall be my gateway to the plot. The manga version tried to do sth but you can do little with only one volume and less than ten chapters.

Yes, I d e f meant that! That's one of the examples what I really adore in their interactions tbh, as much as they dislike each other and have this excellent "salty cousins" troupe going on they're eventually gonna come to terms with the reality and make s truce of some sort. (aka the setting at P5 timeline)
