The newsies don’t have time to think about who loves who. If they love, they love. They’re outcasts anyways, they can’t afford to hate people for doing the opposite.

Honestly probably most of them are queer. Again, for the same reason they can’t afford to be picky. They’re lucky if anyone likes them at all…(And it’s not like they can control it)

They also don’t break up if someone likes someone else. Again this is for the same reason. Plus: as long as the person still loves them, why would they care if they like someone else too?

In fact, some of them like the person their partner likes as well!

Like Race, Albert and Spot. They‘re all in a relationship with each other. Spot and Race, Race and Al, and Al and Spot. Albert and Spot only met because of Race but they really klicked.

But for some of them it’s just one relationship.

Like Bumlets, Skittery and Swifty.

They’re in a realationship. One relationship.

If Albert, Spot and Race conexted by a string, they would each have two strings, one in each that connects them to one of the others, whereas Bumlets, Skittery and Swifty would have one long string which they all hold.

Also Finch would have been holding onto a string in Alberts mouth or something but they lost that string with time or maybe it changed colors

Sniper would have two strings. One in each hand, Tommy would hold one and Smalls would hold one but Smalls and Tommy wouldn’t hold one together. If they would, it would be a different color. Tommy Boy would also have two strings. His other one would lead to Barneys hand.

Let’s say the string between Tommy and Sniper, Sniper and Smalls and Tommy and Barney was red, and the one between Tommy and Smalls was green, the one between Barney and sniper would be purple. And he would have no string to Smalls.

Barney and Sniper have a weird thing going on to be honest, they don’t even know it them selves…

Anyway Barney would have also have a blue one like, Albert and Finch would, (except theirs might actually fade to green) to Pie eater, talking about those:

Then of course there would be Pie-eater, Snoddy and Jake who also all hold on to one string but it would be purple as well. Pie eater and Snoddy might also hold another purple one with only the two of them as well actually but that doesn’t mean they let go to the longer one with Jake.

Sure, maybe some people don’t like their wires being tangled, like Davey and Jack, but as long as they’re string doesn’t get caught up in that, why would they care about the other ones?
