"...Would you want to go out with me sometime?" The question seemed out of the blue because it was. Hell, it was a struggle for Tala to even get the words out because of how embarrassed she'd felt asking. She'd just spent thirty minutes spilling her guts about her ex girlfriend, Bri, and the toxic cycle they'd been stuck in ever since they met. That being said, untangling herself from the other's drama was easier said than done. Bri wanted to be her friend, she wanted to keep things 'normal' and that tended to just appear as Tala waiting around to be wanted again.
The suggestion that she throw herself into dating other people had been a good one, but it was evident now that the other hadn't necessarily meant themselves. "I mean..." She cringed, seeing their reaction. "Not like, as a serious thing. Like, as a practice run, or something?" She scrambled to explain it. "I haven't really dated anyone else since I was nineteen. I haven't even slept with anyone else, I just... I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. So I was thinking, I don't know, maybe you could help me?" A beat passed and her cheeks warmed, her eyes widening at the implication. "With the dating, I mean. Not the... like, sex stuff."
