Graduated High School.

Got my first dog, Achilles, the sweetest boi.

Started a DnD group with my closest friends from High School and my brother. 

Bought my first car all on my own (a red Hyundai i30). She has served me well.

Completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Travelled to Paris and toured the UK with my bro. It was my first overseas trip without my parents and it was great.

Started sharing my writing for the first time (in any capacity outside of English class at school). I spent about a year lurking in the DA fandom before posting anything resembling a fic because I was so scared of people judging me.

Started working more on my writing and personal projects. While I didn’t do as much as I would have liked, I still have more work done on it than I ever have before. That is something.

Made some wonderful friends online and have had many emphatic discussions over slang, lore, and bagels. 

Received my 5 years of service award at my retail workplace. Quit the next day in a mixture of awe and horror (I didn’t realise how long I had been there, steaming clothes in a stockroom).

Completed my Masters of Teaching Degree (Secondary Education). It remains, to this date, the most rubbish course I have ever taken. But I got that piece of paper.

Got my first full-time job, and was offered permanent employment there at the end of the year.

Left my first full-time job and turned down permanency because it was really not a good fit for me. This is probably the first time I have made a decision this big that was based on what I felt I needed, rather than what I felt I should do.

Got my second full-time job in mid-December. It wasn’t something I was planning or even really wanted, but the opportunity was offered and, after a lot of thought, I accepted.

Finally started therapy, which was scary but needed (and has been for years).

Managed to maintain many of my High School friendships even after graduating in 2011. Still see my closest friends every fortnight or so for DnD.
