“Not quite,” She corrected as a mischievous smile tugged at her lips. The SM Christmas party was always something that Hyoyeon looked forward to every year. She enjoyed the festivities and the chance to catch up with her colleagues and friends that she didn’t get to spend much time with throughout the year. “ I thought I’d take a page out of Taeyeon’s book, and get creative. This year my cookie theme is horror and mayhem. D’you like the black eye I gave to that little guy? His buddy to the right is a zombie.” 

“It’s alright, Sehun-ah-…” Seohyun answered, unable to fully sharpen her dongsaeng’s features out of pure pain. She got stamped on her foot, the impact so intense that the high heel of her shoe simply broke off. Pressing her side against the SM’s corridor the female managed to peel off the grey Weitzman from the damaged limb with trembling fingers, gazing at the stiletto like she just lost a dear friend. The accumulating pain grazed her with urgency. “I just need your help to get to the conference room- And I need ice. No. The ice-pack, please.” With a sheepish grin she faced her hobae. “All is intact. I’m pretty sure only this shoe got broken.”

★ DUMB DUMB: What’s the silliest thing you’ve done while in love?

I’m… actually not sure on this? There are a lot of silly things that I do… I don’t think anything’s silly while you’re in love, though. Especially if the outcome is making the person smile in the long run. But I guess… if I had to name an instance… it might just be putting my own health to the side and focusing all on them? Doing it so much to the point where it also was causing a strain on me. I didn’t mind at the moment, because I was in love. On a light note, I act really childish and pouty while in love. It’s quite silly.

★ LION HEART: Take a look at all of your hairstyles (comeback specific) thus far. Show us your least favorite and tell us why you chose it as such. And lastly, do you forgive your stylist?

★ I:  Many do not consider idols to be “real” musicians. How does that  statement make you feel and how would you define a “real musician”?

Statements like these don’t really bother me, because the terms ‘music’ and ‘musician’ are subjective. It varies from person to person. I feel like if one wants to strip away the ‘idol’ title and convince the public that they are quite indeed musicians, then they should work hard in gaining the respect of those around them who believe otherwise. It is possible to be both a musician and an idol, and personally, I feel like a “real musician” is one that puts an immense amount of passion into their music. It doesn’t matter who composed what for someone. Many idols, especially vocalists, chose to pursue their careers because music is their passion. They are constantly putting their all into their work every day. I think that’s my idea of a real musician.

★ A MILLION PIECES: What is your biggest fear while on stage?

A wardrobe malfunction. A slight one is alright and pretty easy to cover up, but I always get this fear that something embarrassing will happen up on stage, and I wont really be able to do much about it. … And then it’ll live on with me… forever. On a more serious note, I think it would be not showing my best side for the fans. I want them to see my improvement more than anything. I want them to be proud of me, of our group, and our group’s dynamic as a whole.

★ DEVIL: Some fans believe that because they financially support the idol they own the idol. What would you say to these fans?

Some fans need to realize that we idols are also human beings as well. They’re not obligated to financially support us in any way, and it’s their choice. Although I do appreciate their support, I believe that some fans tend to take it too far, and they make the experience as an idol stressful and sometimes even unenjoyable. I can’t complain too much, because it’s inevitable, but I would really hope that they can tone things down and support us in a way that makes both us, and them happy. If they also consider our feelings, then the both of us can be happy. And in return, we’ll show them our best up on stage and everywhere else.

★ CALL ME BABY: What’s your relationship with your family like? When was the last time you’ve contacted them?

Despite the constant schedules, left and right, my relationship with my family is actually quite well. And I don’t admit it much, but I’m a bit of a baby who is in constant need of reassurance and loving from those around me. And where else is the best place to get that from? Your family, of course. They’re one of a kind, and I speak with them as often as I can, whenever I’m not busy with schedules. My mom is always nagging me to take care of my health too… ah. But if it’s not my family, then I’m probably tagging along to visit one of my member’s families. I’m very close with all of them.

★ THE LITTLE PRINCE: Do you ever feel disheartened when viewing photo shopped images of yourself?

It’s just part of the industry, right? Nobody’s perfect. Even though photoshop can hide certain blemishes, scars, and all of that, it all gets unraveled in the long run. Viewing photoshopped images is actually quite amusing in my opinion… especially since you know that there’s no such thing as a picture-perfect being, yet we’re all trying hard to achieve that perfect figure. It probably serves more as motivation to me, than anything.

★ DEAR MY FAMILY: What is your honest opinion of SM Entertainment? What changes(if any) would you like to see the company make in terms of management?
