Three colors used together make a stunningly sophisticated yarn with a homespun feel.
My apologies for the extremely poor lighting of this photo, but you can still see the three contrasting colors.
Mostly this blend of alpaca, wool and mohair is dyed 100% Midnight Black @ .1% Depth of Shade.
The secondary color is much darker using 42% River Blue, 32% Amethyst Purple, 18% Midnight Black, 8% Sunset Orange, 8% Sunshine Yellow @ 2.5% Depth of Shade.
I include this third picture because it is easy to see the contrast between the two lighter colors in the sun streak; at the top-center of the skein.
The third color is an accent to the light and dark of this yarn. Only a small amount of fiber was dyed this color but it was enough to set a tone for the entire skein. 65% River Blue, 35% Amethyst Purple @ .2% Depth of Shade was used.
Do share any projects you create with this colorway. I’d love to see what you’ve done.
