Word: leaf - I actually wrote this yesterday, so it wasn’t much of a hunt (from Fulfilling Dreams)

He slowly turns the leaf by it’s steam between his finger tips as he slowly walks towards his uncle’s office. He needs to talk to his uncle about his faith. While he’s mostly sure it’s going to be fine, that his uncle will accept what he has to say, he’s still nervous.

When he reaches the door, he knocks at it softly.

“Come in,” his uncle’s strong voice beckons him.

All he has to do is go in there and talk with him. That’s not too hard.

Word: hope - I have it six time, this is the last, as I have used parts of other scenes in other games (from Slow Future)

He nods a bit woodenly, fingers curling around his soulmates’. 

“I hope the rest of your day goes fairly well,” she tells him as she stands, “Good day.” 

Emere shows the doctor out and he finds himself scooting just a little bit closer to Pasha, feeling cold and needing his friend’s warmth.

While Emere is up, she heads into their kitchen, and a few minutes later she’s back with drinks for all three of them.

Word: bark - this is from Unexpected Meeting and surprisingly one of the only times I have bark despite the fact his soulmark is an Ash Tree

Collecting his things from the dresser, he heads into the attached bathroom, not bothering to fully shut the door so he can hear if Luc moves, at least a little bit. There is no way someone with splints and casts starting at the mid-foot and going to the mid thigh is getting up and walking, even though that stubborn arse agent has already tried. Once in the bathroom and out of line of sight of the bedroom, he turns the water on and quickly strips.

Climbing in the shower, he takes his time tracing his fingers over both soulmarks. They are changing again.

His tree is becoming more defined, the branches spreading out to resemble a rowan tree more than the oak he originally thought it might be and its roots are becoming more detailed. The tree has grown as well, before it only covered a small portion of his side, now it starts just over his hip and stretches to just below his armpit. There are even new colors to it, instead of the blacks, grays, and shadowy browns. The trunk is more amber colored than shadowy, with darker shades of brown highlighting the texture of the bark. The leafs are turning shades of green and gold, as if finally blossoming to life, shades of cyan and turquoise mixed in.

Word: eventually - I don’t have this as much as I thought. This is from Slow Future

“Would any of you like coffee? It just finished brewing before I heard the knock.” “That would be appreciated ma’am,” Merlin remarks, accent reminding her of some of the French she’s seen in town. “No thank you,” Tichina and Estela answer at the same time, sharing a warm smile between themselves a moment later. “Yes please,” Manual replies with a happy expression.

After the five of them have coffee and tea, as she's eventually able the two women, they go room by room discussing what she wants packed and what she will replace. Estela writes all the information down carefully, occasionally asking questions to clarify points.

Word: mastermind - surprisingly I don’t have this one

Smiling at her hesitantly, her soulmate shakes her head, “No, now would be good, I just,” Nazren shrugs, “I didn’t have an Iranian traditional wedding the first time, I had a Muslim wedding, but I wasn’t actually required to be there.” Blinking, she tips her head and thinks about that for a moment, trying to understand how that is even possible? Of course, there are a lot of things about her soulmate’s faith she doesn’t know yet. She’s learning slowly, as it is a sign of respect for Nazreen, but she doubts she will ever change faiths when she feels such a strong call to her own. “Well then, that makes this wedding even more important. It is a chance to introduce Akaal to the family properly, and if there is any traditions that need followed, they can be followed. Jon and Aither have already paid my family a visit to perform the customary request for marriage. I don’t think my parents knew what to think of that,” she remarks with a playful smile, “Jon must have been frustrated because he doesn’t actually know the language and had to fall back on English.”

Amusingly, I opened it up to my ‘bits and pieces’ doc, and still all three scenes are from the same story: Slow Future

Word: Gold

“I can’t decide between these two,” Akaal remarks, bringing two of the rings over to where they are standing. The one in the tall man’s left hand has a pearl for the centerpiece, surrounded by two different rings. The inner ring of stones is made of small crystals, the outer ring having four rubies and two crystals between each ruby. All of it is set on a gold band. The one in the big man’s right hand is actually a two ring set. The smaller ring is curved to fit with the bigger ring on the finger, and it has five silver pearls in it. The larger ring has a large garnet as the centerpiece with a pair of crescent moons on the sides curving around small crystals. The overall impression is that of the sun, moon and stars, all made with copper metal. “It has a steel base, but the copper looks really nice,” Akaal comments, looking hesitantly between them. “I think the stars, sun and moon is more her style, but I don’t know her all that well.” He remarks, looking at both closely, “What do you think Iva?”

Word: Fog

Keeping his eyes closed, he tries to focus on the words she’s saying. It’s not easy. Too much of it is jumbled up in his head. He understands ‘joy’ but that’s about it. The only reason he comes close to understanding that is it’s her favorite nickname for him. A fact he has never understood since he’s about as far from joy as a person can be most the time. Unless she means he brings her joy? Though how could she? He’s panicky more often than not. He has to have order in his life. There are no ifs, whats, or buts about it. He does whatever possible to avoid the situation they are in right now: he doesn’t like being so close to bare. He had a hard time with just his shirt off around them, how the hell did he wind up in a situation with only his underwear on? He’s still a bit foggy on that. Anyways, the point is he doesn’t know how he is joy, in any sense of the word.

The words are soft, gentle, a soothing caress, familiar. They’re something to focus on besides the panic rushing through him. Not that is really helpful, still it’s something.

Word: Breath

“Koa?” his soulmate’s low voice cuts through the swirl of anger and self hate in his head. “Iov?” Shaking his head, he smiles tentatively at Emere, squeezing her hand back lightly. “I’m fine.” He has a hard time saying it, because he’s sure that his boss is calling Ivan Valentinovich, and his world is going to come crashing down. “Toa kakaho wouldn’t have texted me if you were ‘fine’.” She replies softly but seriously, “I haven’t seen you this nervous in months, maybe even years. What’s wrong?” He swallows hard, turning towards her slowly, tucking his nose in her dark hair, and just breathing.

He’s part of a triad. How the fuck did that happen? He never expected to meet one soulmate and have her stay, let alone both of them. Yet they have. They’ve stayed. He doesn’t know why. He’s not going to question his luck. However now it’s not just three adults. It’s three adults and a little girl who can’t be older than two, maybe three if he’s pushing it. Yes, he's had custody of the youngest members of the family but most want to start staying with a governess in a different apartment on the floor. According to Nyura that way he can start a proper family with his soulmates.

Triple entered. Is that it? He never met a clergyman and never expected to stay there. But they did not know why. It does not intend to take advantage. But now there are only three adults. These are three adults and a little girl less than two years old, maybe three of them will push her. Yes, they are accepted by young family members, but most of the time they want to stay in another apartment in the same apartment. According to Niura, his family can start with relatives.

So using the translator I went through four languages: Russian, Persian, Hebrew, and Turkish.

Word: undertone - surprisingly I don’t have at this point, I thought I had. Hmmm. Wonder if that was part of the writing I lost to my last laptop crashing.

Word: knot - Slow Future

"As a member of the Network-" his boss begins, tone gentle, blue eyes watching him.

"But I'm not!" He blurts out, instantly feeling his skin heat up and his stomach knot. He shouldn't have done that.

"Iov, you've been a member of the Network since day three or so. Dmitri or Viktor should have explained it to you, since neither of them did, and I as your current immediate supervisor failed to confirm you understood your rights and position, we're going to have a long overdo conversation about both." Sparks replies, leaning forward, relaxing into the desk, eyes never leaving him.

Word: question - probably a word I use way too much but here, have an instance of it from Building Lives

"Got the address, and some pictures," he tells her, finishing with the question, "Wanna do this now or later?" "Now. That way it doesn't get put off." She replies with a firm nod.

He nods in agreement with that plan.

After getting cleaned up, they head downstairs, and he decides to call for one of the network cabs, almost relieved to get Merkuru. He hands the address over, getting nothing more than an arched brow from the older man.

Word: forget - twice in two tenses in the same scene - Slow Future

Almost as soon as the door is unlocked he gives it a strong kick as both him and Aither target and toss. 

He's quite pleased that she doesn't plant the knife is Asmik seniors throat, since he knows she was thinking about it, and instead embedded it in his arm, the same one that held a gun before it clattered to the floor because of nerve damage. 

Ilya Asmik hadn't gotten very far as his blade pinned the idiot to the wooden paneling behind him. Both howled in pain, though he is sure the younger's was a bit higher pitched. "You know, I don't like my trips being interrupted by someone doing something to piss me off," he states almost conversationally as he lets the second knife go flying driving into the other shoulder. "I also don't like people who try forcing their will on those they perceive as weaker. It just irks me. The fact you did it somewhere where you should have been on your best behavior just pisses me off worse. Because apparently you did not learn your lesson years ago. Or you were stupid enough to forget." "I say stupid enough to have forgot." Aither comments as she toys with her second throwing knife, heel resting against the wall next to the door, slate eyes narrow on the elder Asmik.

Word: mistake - poor Iov thinks this word a lot, I just picked a random one. - Slow Future

Almost immediately he gets tense again, because he doesn’t know how to do that. He’s spent the last ten years pretty much working for his boss, a man who could easily have his entire life destroyed with just a few simple words. He’s made sure to never cross any of the lines that have been put before him when it comes to Ivan Valentinovich, the woman with the knives or any of the others in the group that can change his life. He already made the mistake of fucking up once and it cost him more than he ever expected, but less than he was willing to give up considering. “Koa,” she states, hands coming up to cup his face, “Iov, look at me.” Slowly he obeys the firmness of her voice, meeting her dark eyes and trying not to hyperventilate.

Word: accident - I have this a lot over the various docs, so have a random piece from Slow Future

“Is he single?” she asks with a glance towards the door, spotting where Jon has situated himself in her line of sight if she but looks. That’s almost comforting. “Oh no, his soulmate is a spooky fellow, bit too serious for my tastes, but very much in love with him.” Maggie replies with a warm smile, eyes lighting up. “It’s always sweet to see them together.” “What she like?” she asks, glancing over again. “He, dear, he’s got scars from something, probably an accident or house fire considering the placement, very quiet most the time, doesn’t take threats very well, fast moving,” the old woman answers fondly. “I’ve only seen him a few times, and they tend not to chatter in English, so I’m not sure of his soulmate’s name. First time I saw him, I thought I was going to have a heart attack because of how much he was scowling.”

Huh, they all ended up being from Slow Future, that doesn’t happen often.
