š„ About a lesser known or appreciated ZIM character?
uNpOpular oPiniOn:
Okay, admittedly, my third eye being awoken stemmed entirely from @rissynicole accidentally indoctrinating me due to her āParadeā fic, (so on that note she should know whatās coming kdhdgd) BUT! After Rissy opened my third eye on the potentialā
I think Invader Larb is severely underutlized like... on the whole? Yo LARB CONQUERED VORT a notable planet, former Empire ally, and home of a notable species behind most if not all of Irkās current technology š Like. I feel like that level of shit writes itself almost and itās just slept on. Ffs no one talks about him. And Invader Tenn has a cult following!!! š
I just think about that little booger a lot more these days.
Though because i have, and thanks to a myriad of other factors, heās more or less morphed into the Nevel Papperman of IZ in my brain.
you feel the rue?
YA FEEL IT?????
Hi! I saw your post about the marvel ship game and thought it looked fun! Iām 18+, she/her, happy to be paired with male or female, short haired brunette, hazel eyes, Caucasian and average height / build. I Love writing stories. Iām friendly, probably a bit too empathetic, donāt like focusing on myself or being in the spotlight, and lastly am very protective / will do literally anything for my loved ones. Hope you have a nice day, and hereās to the upcoming Wandavision final episode(s)!ā”
I ship you with: Vision!
I think Vision would admire how empathetic and caring you are, and how you would do anything for those you care about. Heās seen a lot of evil in the world, and with you he only sees kindness. In return, he finds he would do anything to protect you. He would be very protective over you.
He likes that you prefer to have a quiet life, being a synthezoid would usually draw a crowd in public, and he would love to spend evenings just holding you as you write or read your writing to him- he loves that. Youāre average height but heās a tall boi and loves to rest his chin on your head and shoulders. <3

Zora Neale Hurston: Do you write in your free time? If so, then what do you write?
I do!
I mostly write fanfiction for the Invader Zim fandom, but every now and then, Iāll write poetry, too.
Creative writing had been a big hobby of mine as a child, but I kind of stopped in high school. I didnāt start writing and publicly uploading fanfiction until adulthood, and it really got me back into hobby writing. Iāve had an overwhelmingly positive experience posting and interacting with readers.
Guzma huh~ What about headcanons for him and a Nurse Joy-training reader~?
I know you said headcanons but I wrote this at 1 am and it turned into uhhhh
The first time youād seen the monochrome man, it had been raining.
It had actually been the first night of your residency; bright-eyed and fresh from the lowest-level nursing classes, you trailed after Nurse Joy all evening like you were the shadows sewn to her bright pink heels. Youād been new to Alola after allā and of all things youād been stationed in Hauāoli City, one of the largest cities in a region that youād never seen before.
The day had generally been worry-free. A few children had come in asking about sunscreen for their Slowpoke; a traveling trainer had stopped by for lunch and directions; a Tauros had barreled down the street at top speed, and none of the locals had batted an eye. Apparently that was just part of daily life on this island.
āYouāll be fine,ā Nurse Joy had said, and her Comfey crooned along in its own soft tones as the rain began, all the tourists scurrying inside out of the weather. āKahuna Hala lives on this island; he also takes care of the people and their PokĆ©mon. Weāre never working alone.ā She had briefly rested her hand on your shoulder, and the gentle patter of the rain against the pavement outside made you feel like a child again.
And then the glass doors slid open.
A man had stumbled in, water pooling around his feet as his scuffed sneakers sank into the PokĆ©mon centerās plush carpets. Hunched over and clutching something to his chest, heād shaken his head back and forth until the hood of his jacket flew off, and then his eyes had met yoursā sopping wet, trembling violently, his fluffy hair all sorts of black and white, he looked like a drowned Rattata.
But when he drew himself up to his full height, he towered over you. It was intimidating as he began making his way to the desk; Nurse Joy seemed completely undisturbed as she took her place with a smile, but you realized that sheād strategically placed herself between you and the man.
āWelcome to the PokĆ©mon Center!ā It surprised you how cheery Nurse Joy managed to soundā sheād probably done this before, when you thought about it.
āI needāā the manās voice was rough, like he didnāt use it often, or maybe heād used it too much. He had paused, his eyes frantically darting around the room as heād tried to gather his words. When he couldnāt catch them, heād just shoved the bundle into her arms. āMy buddyāā
Youād stretched up on your toes to get a peek over Nurse Joyās shoulder.
A Wimpod. Smaller than usual for the species, it had curled up tightly, not even trying to run away.
āAbnormal behavior,ā your training kicked in. You looked to Nurse Joy for approval. āIāll place it in a saltwater tank while you get a treatment room ready?ā
Sheād nodded at you, a proud smile crossing her face as you took the little bug PokĆ©mon. You turned and almost started walking towards the back treatment rooms, only for another bit of your training to kick its way to the forefront of your mind. In a smooth motion you whirled on your heel and bowed to the dazed man. āYour PokĆ©mon is in good hands.ā
Over the course of your training, that same man became a regular visitor. You learned his name at some pointā āGuzma? Are you serious?āā and heād gotten comfortable using yours. He was loud and boisterous and occasionally called you Nurse Joy too, even though that was decidedly not your name, but then heād flash his toothy grin and all your frustrations would melt away.
One night when youād been left to run the PokĆ©mon center alone, the glass doors slid open yet again, the familiar chime jingling gently through tinny loudspeakers. You had to catch your sigh before someone heard it; today had already been a rough one, and your uniform was sticking to you uncomfortably, you were so damp with sweat. Your fingers ached where youād pricked them by accident, and your vision blurred with exhaustion as you stumbled to the desk to greet the new visitor.
āWelcome to the PokĆ©mon center,ā you said, not even bothering with the customer service voice.
A paper coffee cup landed on the desk in front of you. Your eyes followed the hand holding it, trailing all the way up a muscled arm until you reached Guzmaās face.
āYāaināt too hospitable to your boy, are ya?ā
You couldnāt stop the grin that crashed over your face. Guzma simply reached up and ran his free hand through his fluffy hair, seemingly struggling to look at your happy face because now his eyes were averted. He lifts the drink again until it catches your attention.
āSaw ya workinā through the windows,ā he muttered, āand yālooked tired, soā Tapu Cocoa.ā His voice trailed off at the end there. If he gripped that paper cup any tighter, it would burst.
āYou didnāt have to do that!ā Still, you reach out and accept the drink from him. When you take a sip, the rich flavors burst through your mouth and flood you with a delicious heat that revitalizes your entire body. No wonder heās always drinking this stuff. āThank youāā
He waves his hand through the air and slides his oversized sunglasses down his face in a poor attempt to hide his blush. āJust donāt go tellinā no-one that the big bad Guzma takes care of ya.ā

How about your top 4 pokemon rivals of choice, as Dads? :>
Itās tough narrowing down my favorites sdfghgfd [except for Barry, he's always at the top of the list]
Kind of a follow-up to the big rival post
Silver really shapes up as a dad; heās still grieving his relationship with his own father, and even though heād never thought he would have children, now that heās here, heās determined to do better. Heās well aware of the fact that heās gruff and difficult to get along withā because of that, he shows his affection in other ways. Very much an acts of service kinda guy when heās involved with someone; he might struggle talking about Emotions as the kids get older, but he really is always there whenever they need him for anything, no matter how big or small it may be.
Barry is a surprisingly nervous fatherā once heās got children of his own, heās wondering how on EARTH his own parents let him run off with you to save the world as kids. And, predictably, the children inherit his disposition; theyāre loud, and happy, and always wandering off when youāre not looking. Thankfully Barry didnāt change much as he got older, because now heās able to predict when the kids wanna do something Really Stupid, and he can step in to stop themā or join in on the fun. Heās definitely not the responsible parent out of the two of you.
Wally is an absolute sweetheart, and is naturally really good with kids. Heās also still a pretty big crybabyā he canāt help being so empathetic, and the babies are tiny and cute, and when one of them gets upset it upsets him too. Itās not a bad thing, though; heās deeply in-tune with your childrenās emotions as they grow, and that helps a ton when theyāre too young to really convey their feelings, and itās even more beneficial when they hit their rebellious teenage years. Heās a very open father, because his family trusted him enough to let him travel even while he was illā he intends to show that same trust with his own family, because it will help them grow.
N takes a long time to truly adjust to humanity; thereās a massive difference between traveling and chasing his goals, and settling down with you and being responsible for another life. He doesnāt dislike it, thoughā he has no memories of his birth family, and even before he knew what was going on, his childhood with his sisters and Ghetsis was always disjointed. Heāll never be able to get those years back, and heās adamant that his children get to live however theyād please; and amusingly enough, his children just want to run around in the yard for now, climbing trees and pretending theyāre PokĆ©mon. Heāll absolutely join themā youāre gonna come home to find your husband tangled up among the branches as the kids laugh.
AH BEEN WAITING FOR THIS -
May I please request some headcanons/scenario for Mist/No.96 where mc was his duel partner - and almost romantic partner - but then the end half of zexal happened and 96 perished;
BuT since then mc has been basically bullying the main trio to revive 96 too along with everyone, and then it happens, and they meet again and itās -!!š„ŗš„ŗā”
this is long and kinda rambly so I hope it's okay!!
Thinking back on it, you werenāt quite sure how the odd pairing had ever happened. He was otherworldly, alien, and oh-so-intimidating, with a body that oozed the absence of light and fangs that gleamed like a broken moon. His markings had been your favorite, thoughā deep shades of red and green, they glowed, luminescent, despite the fact that his body was darkness given form. His voice had pinned you in place, even more so than the pressure that seemed to emanate from his very presence.
And you were just a human. Fragile and flawed and exactly what he was looking for. Youād had no reasons to get involved with the Barians or that other alien that looks just like him, but Dark Mistā when heād announced his name like introducing a god, youād nearly keeled over laughingā had dragged you along for the ride, in need of someone with tangible hands who could interact with the world beyond his reach.
It definitely wasnāt where youād expected to go with your life. All the alien wanted to do was cause problems; he was constantly materializing in front of people and goading them into brawls, only to slip behind you when things got heated and order you around like a pawn on a chessboard. Itās not like you were doing anything else with your days. Your dueling skills mayāve only been average on your own, but Dark Mist had an understanding of duel monsters that youād never seen in anyone before. When he suggested a play, you did it, and you always wonā eventually he graced you even further with his presence, slipping the card with his own name into your deck and demanding you use it even if he wasnāt around. [He was always around, thoughā you were beginning to suspect he had nowhere else to go.]
Admittedly, his initial attitude was a lot to take. Arrogant and bossy and bordering onā crossing intoā criminal. But there were moments that made up for itā the late nights where youād climb from your balcony onto your roof and find him floating there like a black hole, watching Heartland far beneath him. And he asks you how electric lights work. And you remember heās not exactly from here.
Some nights, he turns his golden eyes up to the stars, and he begins to brag. Thereās worlds beyond Earth, he tells you, and heās been to themā he can go whenever heād like, and youāre stuck here on your silly little planet. He never answers when you ask him why he doesnāt just go, why he insists on drifting over your shoulder like a bad song, scaring you awake every morning because he hovers far too close to your face. Instead he just turns away from you and mutters somethingā you donāt catch it all, but youāre sure heās said something about bringing you along to other worlds one day. You tell him youāll hold him to that promiseā his markings glow an even brighter red.
Youād never asked for any of this. Heād followed through on his word and dragged you to all sorts of other worlds, but it wasnāt the adventure youād been hoping forā instead, as his proclaimed dueling pawn, you were there when he lost. When Astral sealed your odd not-quite-friend away permanently. When his body dissolved just out of your reach, and you were left with a sense of isolation youād never felt before. The only proof heād ever been in your life was the copy of his card still resting in your deckbox.
Yuma tried to apologize. Even if he couldnāt understand why youād feel that way about someone practically made of evil, the alien had still been someone important to you, and he understood that much. Youād barely made it to your feet before demanding he take you home and never speak to you again.
With Dark Mist gone, the next few months passed like a foggy morning. You didnāt care enough to stay involved with the end of the world; you were vaguely aware that time had passed when Heartland disappeared, and then everything was okay again. For everyone else, anyways. One unfortunate day, your path crossed with Yuma again, Astral still quietly floating alongside him as they watch the oceanā you canāt decide if you want to shove them into the water, or drop to your knees and beg.
Your body made the choice for you. When you blinked, you were holding Yuma by the collar of his vest, dragging him up until he was balancing on his toes and then you make your demands. Your hands are trembling even as they hold him steady, and eventually his own gloved hands land on top of yoursā instead of trying to tear you off him, Yuma wants to comfort you. He knows how it felt to lose Astral over and overā he knows you havenāt healed.
Itās a long debate. Astral doesnāt think it should be done, citing everything that Dark Mist caused; Yuma, though, is adamant that everyone deserves a happy ending. Vectorā Rayā had gotten one, after all; 96 will have you to watch out for him, so thereās no real harm. Astral still holds the power to heal a few more hearts.
You roll over in bed the next morning, as if nothing had ever changed. Same blankets, same walls, same alien scowling down at youā you jolt upright so fast that you phase right through him, and he hisses swears as he tumbles back through your bedroom. Heās here, heās here, his presence dripping across the floor and flooding every corner of your room, his glow reflecting off your windows and filling the room with his dark light. Even knowing you canāt touch him, you throw your arms out for a hugā Dark Mist grins down at you and doesnāt drift away. He says something thatās supposed to be meanā āyou missed your false god an awful lot, didnāt you?āā and you donāt even deny it. He rolls his eyes and bares his fangs, but opens his arms in the same way youād done; you still phase right through him, and he does his best to seem unbothered, but youāre sure a spark of electricity races up your spine when he tries to wrap his arms around you too.
