Many public buildings, such as schools, universities, city halls, museums, and hotels, are equipped with electric revolving doors. These revolving doors are usually installed at the entrances to allow people to enter and exit the buildings. Meanwhile, they are also used to reduce the frequency of indoor and outdoor air circulation and cut down on the air-conditioning energy consumption inside the buildings.

Electric revolving doors mainly consist of the door body structure, the drive system, and the control system. Among them, multiple door panels are driven by an electric motor to rotate 360 degrees around the central axis at different speeds without restrictions. Since the door body is in a rotating state, ordinary fixed wires can't be used to connect the power source and the motor. Through-hole slip rings are mainly composed of two parts: the stator and the rotor. In agricultural equipment, the stator part of the slip ring is fixed, and the rotor part is connected to the rotating equipment parts (such as irrigation sprinklers, tillage mechanical arms, etc.). When the equipment rotates, the rotor also rotates.

The agriculture slip ring has a circular conductive track (for transmitting current) and an insulating material interval inside. These conductive tracks are like "small circular roads" on which current can "travel". Through the contact between the brush and the conductive ring, the slip ring transmits the signal or power from the fixed end to the rotating end.

Let's take an example: in irrigation equipment, taking the center pivot irrigation system as an example, the slip ring is installed at the pivot. Water is delivered to the sprinkler through a pipe, and the slip ring is responsible for delivering power and control signals to the rotating sprinkler part. When the sprinkler rotates, the slip ring enables the motor to have power to drive the sprinkler to rotate, and assists in controlling the sprinkler angle, water output and other signals, thereby adjusting the irrigation range and water volume.

This involves a key electromechanical component - the slip ring. In excavators, various electrical circuits (such as control signal lines and power supply lines) are connected through the slip ring.

It is connected to the lower chassis structure of the excavator and is connected to the fixed electrical system parts such as the control box and power supply device. In this way, the stator can receive their electrical energy and control signals and transmit them to the rotor.

*Rotor:

It is connected to the slewing platform of the excavator. Since the slewing platform is the main part that rotates 360°, when the slewing platform rotates with working devices (such as booms, dipper sticks, and buckets), it also rotates and continuously transmits signals.
