      she wouldn’t consider herself close with many of her classmates, but etsu especially has... eluded her in the past.  both being rather shy, solitary sorts, they never really got around to spending much time together outside of class functions or apart from their peers.  she supposes now is as good a time to get to know one another as any, but she can’t help but feel it would’ve been easier had they known each other better.

      shifting the weight of her backpack on one shoulder, wakako scans the shoreline before turning to her companion for the next few days.

“Did you know my family grew up in the American Southwest?” The question seemed to come out of thin air, the owl silently following the other moments before. Miyako always enjoyed sneaking up on others, even if it was considered cruel by some. The main intention of this was to strike up a conversation with her classmate though.

“Etsu…!”

Her girlfriend was here! Kyou’s reaction was immediate, the recently neko-fied girl quickly wrapping arms around Etsu and nuzzling into her lover’s neck affectionately. Her hood had fallen back, leaving her new cat ears on full display as she purred against Etsu’s skin.
