Look, we all knew it was only a matter of time before we started covering enemies exclusive to the live-action segments of the Mario TV series. Are you tired of our shenanigans yet? I hope not! Shenanigans are our favorite thing!
Slime Ghost is a slime ghost. It sure is slimy, but honestly not very ghostly. That’s okay, though! Sometimes, the coolest kinds of things are ones that are the least like they’re supposed to be! Like, flightless birds? Among the best birds, if you ask me!
The Slime Ghost kind of just oozes around as Mario whacks it with a broom, until it drags Luigi into a closet. Who’s Mario gonna call?
A Ghostbuster, of course! Or, rather, an actor who played one of the Ghostbusters. Ernie Hudson shows up, as himself, though still wielding a proton pack and capable of busting ghosts for some reason. Okay! Anything is possible in the 1980s!
Luigi ends up getting possessed by Slime Ghost, and throws away a perfectly good slice of pizza in order to take a bite out of the plate that it was on.
Slime Ghost ends up being banished into the Mario Bros.’ pizza pan, and they have to buy a new one. And then it talks!
“Hey, Ernie! I surrender! Just get me away from these two GOOOMBAS!”
And then they all laugh. And then they all dance. The end!
Today the movie "ghosthunters - on icy trails", an adaption of a Cornelia Funke childrens book, opens in german cinemas. And there one can watch Hugo, a little cute slimey ghost. More than two years ago the production company "luckybird" asked me to make the character design of Hugo. And now I'm very happy that he looks quite the same like in the original sketches I made those days.

Unfortenately, I don't know when the movie will start in England or in other countries. But Warner Bros. is involved and it is an international production (Germany, Austria, Ireland) and was shot in english. So we will see
