I imagine Rick is on an adventure with Morty and they end up in the woods. Rick FEELS slenderman nearby cuz he recognizes that feeling anywhere, but Morty just feels a chill go up his spine and hes freaked out. He turns to Rick but he's just looking intensely at a particular part of the dense woods and Morty is like "uh...Rick?"

All of the sudden Rick opens a portal and pushes Morty through with no explanation. Slenderman finally shows himself and Rick has this dopey dizzy smile and he's like "there you are."
