This was my band! For my 1,000th post on Instagram I decided to give you a little personal history. When I was a young pup teenager in the early 90s, I played bass in a thrash metal band called Roadkill. We worshipped bands like Slayer, Metallica, and the Misfits, and wrote an album’s worth of original songs to emulate them. Long intros, heavy palm-muted riffs, melodic guitar solos, intricate drums, and clean wailing vocals. It was a lot of fun to play around, and we recorded as many songs as we could afford in a studio.
