Authors note: I've been having this stupid lil idea scrambling around my brain for a couple of days, so I decided to put it out for yall, sorry for the radio silence! Back to your regularly scheduled bullshit!

Now Lester had not the faintest idea how he got so damn turned around trying to get those people to bring him home, even less so how he ended up over the state border and in Tennessee.

He had been dropped off near a sleepy town, the sign said "Welcome to Ambrose, Tennessee- home of Trudy's house of wax"

Now Nubbins being nubbins, isn't one to be easily be scared, seeing as he is a cannibal and lures victims for his family, so when he was an old beat up truck rolling on down the road he grinned, holding out his hand and waving, a thumb up.

Lester, seeing someone on the side of the road pulled over, leaning his head out the window and grinning

"well howdy there fella, we don't get many strangers 'round these parts! Do ya need a ride?"

Nubbins grinned, showing off his teeth and speaking with an excited cadence that met Lester's own

"I would be mighty appreciative of that there stranger! I got all mixed up, see me 'n' my folks live just cross the border in Texas, now I'd be mighty 'ppreciative if ya'd lend me a hand, see i ain't got no car, and I'm mighty outta sorts"

Lester just smiled and nodded, jerking his thumb to the passenger seat

"Hop on in! Hope ya don't mind Jonesy, she is my lil ride in today"

He said with a grin. Nubbins, ever the excitable one grinned and nodded, jumping into the seat petting Jonesy

"she's a mighty fine pooch! Awful sweet of ya to give me a ride"

Nubbin said, a toothy grin breaking out on his face. brightening even more as he heard the old rock music come onto the radio, causing him to nod his head along

"I love this song!"

Lester grinned happily "so do I! not much else on round here after all"

He trailed off, glancing away from the road at the man sitting beside him, who was singing along to the song and petting Jonesy
