I’m gonna be frank with you.
Eclipse X Roxy, other known as TechClaw, irks me the wrong way.
Why, you may ask?
To me, Eclipse has NEVER truly shown interest in dating. When I say never, I mean NEVER.
NEVER EVERRRR.
I’ve been in this fandom since the time it started about, a few months later give or take.
Eclipse?? Not some guy who’d go out and try getting with someone, or truly want to. He’s an independent person and does well on his own. He doesn’t need nor should have to want to date.
I understand these aren’t my characters. But also, you have to understand, I feel like Eclipse dating someone- ANYONE- would be too out of character for me.
To me? He doesn’t seem to understand romance. He seems confused or just outright annoyed and disgusted by the concept.
Now, if this was an Au we’re talking about and not canon, do whatever the hell you want. I ship eclipse with characters when it’s NOT canon. In my little AUs where he has less implications that he dislikes romance.
But if TechClaw became canon, I’d most likely leave the EaPs fandom, respectfully. If I’d want to use eclipse in my AUs of course I’d still do that. But also? I feel like there’s already enough canon ships in the shows. Sure, not too many, but to me it seems alright.

And let’s be honest. These shows don’t need another ship to make EaPs more appealing. Can we please focus on RuRu’s “villain” arc? Instead of getting eclipse into a situation I feel isn’t in character. And of course, argue with me all you want. My stance will not change.
