This Day in WCW History: After two months of Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho running down Dean Malenko’s family following their match at Uncensored, Juventud Guerrera selflessly eliminates himself from a #1 Contender’s Battle Royal to hand the immediate Title match to Ciclope, who unmasks to reveal himself as Dean Malenko. Once the bell rings, Malenko takes charge and soon applies the Texas Cloverleaf to become the first-ever 4-time Cruiserweight Champion at Slamboree 1998.
