Hey everyone! I just released the instructions for Slagtoth HERE, but I have a large selection of other small herbivorous monsters from Monster Hunter as well. Check the catalog for the full list! (A couple of these are in need of a revision, lol.)

So! Continuing in the spirit (there's your Halloween pun, now shoo) of critters in fun costumes like the Maxolotl commission, here are a bunch of Monster Hunter Palicos doubling as pet portraits.
Sooo many daft costumes and armour sets to choose from! And I get to pick ones that suit the characters of the cats at hand. I'll paint these up at some point and show alongside their irl cat forms.
So is Volvidon extremely protective of its habitat or does sometimes eat small herbivores to supplements its diet?
Ah, I assume you’re taking about the recent damage they’ve caused to the Slagtoth population in the Lava Caverns. While like many animals they won’t pass up free nutrients from a carcass every now and then, they don’t prey upon herbivores like those and subsist on the myriad of arthropods found in their environment such as Raknoids or Lanternbugs.
Volvidon are protective of their habitat like all monsters are, but not usually to that level to creatures that pose no threat to them. Stress from both the ecological turmoil caused by the Rampage and the calls sent out by the Serpents themselves are instead to blame for their spike in aggression.
NEW TRAILER AAAS
So A) I love this thing I want one
B) leviathans are back! So Mizutsune is looking closer and closer to a hard confirm now that the base skeleton is back. Plus, Mizutsune always had super high mobility so it'll fit in perfectly with all of these new high-mobility monsters and combat.
Welcome back to these two as well. I enjoy Ludroth and since I only ever played World and GU, I never fought a Wroggi. So hey! Wroggis and Ludroths.
I'm glad to see new primate-style fanged beasts! The list of monsters in this is way too small in my opinion, and you could do so much fun stuff with these guys.
...And then this happens.
Welcome back, you rubbery, electric, wall-crawling [redacted]. I hate fighting you but at least I can smack your loud screaming ass off of the ceiling with my unga bunga club now.
And last but not least!
Slagtoth. Lumpy friend.
Ye.
Monster Hunter Rise. So excited!!!
So in some case in nature there have been cases of animals adopting different animals, so would it be the same in Monster Hunter?
It’s rather rare due to the extreme aggression in many monsters, but it has been known to happen on rare occasions in species with more parental traits. Gammoth mothers will adopt Popo calves if their own calf dies and the same can occur in reverse. Zinogre packs can sometimes merge with those of the Stygian subspecies. One Duramboros herd was noted to contain some Kelbi, Aptonoth and Slagtoth. In one reported case, there has even been a Kulu-Ya-Ku that raised a Rathalos after its parents had been killed by a Savage Deviljho.

Female Duramboros often adopt smaller herbivores like Aptonoth and Slagtoth into their breeding herds. This is to give their younglings companionship, as it’s hard to interact with your child when there is such a massive size difference.
The Herbivore Squad is here! Should I be drawing more well-known monsters instead of background lads? Probably- but look how cute they are :3 Designs are live on my Teepublic now, link in my bio if you want to check them out! #monsterhunter #slagtoth #rhenoplos #aptonoth #mosswine #kelbi #onlinestore #teepublicdesign #digitalart #cute #artistsoninstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CP1hakuDGPP/?utm_medium=tumblr
