As painful as some of the DLC bosses were, this run honestly wasn't as hellish as I was expecting? As usual, I didn't summon anyone to help with boss fights (though the temptation to summon Gael for Friede was strong... but I resisted!)

This run definitely wasn't easy, but I at least saw the finish line up ahead. I'd dare say some boss fights feel better when you fight them on SL1, but maybe that's just the adrenaline talking :'D That being said, idk what I'd do without embers for some of these bosses...

It honestly wasn't that bad except for O&S phase 1 and Kalameet arghhh, but I still feel happy about it. My only rules were no leveling up, no summoning npcs/real people, and beat every boss in the game :) I might slowly tackle the other Souslborne games from here -- probably Demon's Souls next, since that should be the same difficulty as (if not easier than) DS1

Yes, you WILL look at all my boss souls (and flower skirt, since gank squad doesn't drop any souls lol). Honestly, so long as you've got patience and the right equipment/items, a DS2 SL1 run isn't terrible for the most part, but there were certain parts that I never want to do again (those being Throne Watcher/Defender, Ivory King's charred knights, Iron Passage, and Frigid Outskirts 🥲). But I also got Sir Alonne to do his seppuku move on this run (which I've never done before, so it was weird that it happened on the SL1 run), so there's that!
