Skyrim's 10 years old, so here's a throwback to two of my earliest digital art pieces! The first is still one of my favourite older ones, it's from 2012-2013 and I still like it. The second one shown is from 2nd November 2011, just before the game released (incidentally also around the time I joined tumblr).

I've wanted to do a new version of these for years but never got around to it, perhaps now's a good time :)

In the time period I was doing these, I was drawing on paper and occasionally adding colour. I'd just started using Gimp 2.8, my first art-adjacent program. These are both scanned in and painted in Gimp with a mouse.

Skyrim though the years

I was introduced to Skyrim in 2012. I hadn’t heard of it before, and I had no idea what I was sitting down to play. Hesitant, I sat down and played for the first time on a laptop. It was unlike anything I’d ever played before, and I was absolutely hooked. I think I played for three hours straight.

Bethesda has announced the creation of a library of players' adventures in advance of tenth anniversary. So here I am. 👾 Maybe, they will even notice my fanart.

My Love inspired me to participate. Unfortunately, I fell sick when the time was right to draw, as usual. But, on the bright side, I came up with this idea on Tuesday. 🤔 Before that my mind was a blank. I assumed, that making my fanart both comical and picturesque is the most advantageous option. Voila! 🎁
