So back in June or July I was looking at some fantastic final fantasy 8 art by @skribleskrable and saw this picture that tends to get reblogged around Christmas. (If you like ff8 and/or Squall and Rinoa, seriously, go check out the blog!) Immediately inspired, I ask and was allowed to attempt to make one of the sweaters on it. Though it’s not finished, here’s what I managed to squeak out
For anyone who’s interested in making the sweater (and improving on it) for yourself, I will post the rough pattern and intarsia I made while making it. Hope you all like it, happy holidays!
The Final Fantasy VIII dub crew just did a bunch of skribleskrable's comics and I am SOARING
I had to screenshot this amazing comment by @skribleskrable in the FFVIII Discord!! Happy Birthday FFVIII!!!

10 things about me
I was tagged by the wonderful @skribleskrable
1. When I was in the 5th grade a boy had a crush on me and wrote me cute love letters. He also wrote a list of things he liked (I was on the list) and a list of things he didn't like (it mostly was a list of vegetables). He gave me a chocolate koala lollipop that said "I WUV YOU" on it. When my mom found out she wouldn't let me eat it. Instead she made me keep it in a tupperware because it was so cute. I think it might still be sealed up in my childhood bedroom somewhere. Years later when I was at a high school reunion his friend texted him to tell him that I was there. He showed up within minutes even though we'd gone to different high schools. Haha, it was fun and cute. We playfully argued about whether or not it was a chocolate bear or a koala bear. (I told him it was a koala bear and it was still in my room and I could PROVE it.)
2. I'm weirdly fond of background people in my life. I'm talking about people I see regularly, but I don't know them at all. Basically NPCs. For instance, mail carriers, grocery clerks, neighborhood dog walkers, etc. Sometimes I make up background stories for them or give them names. (Once one of these NPCs came up to me and said their dog really liked me. The dog would always see me going on walks and he would want to go outside and join me. So cute. I was friends with a dog and didn't even know it.)
3. I used to be afraid of waterbeds when I was really little because I was afraid I'd drown. This is probably because a boy pushed me into a swimming pool when I couldn't swim. I was so young I didn't even know to close my eyes or hold my breath. I just remember sinking to the bottom with my eyes open in shock and gulping down pool water. Luckily somebody's mom saw it happen even though the pool was crowded, and she saved me. (It's okay, I know how to swim now.)
4. I really, really love animals and I've almost been a lifelong vegetarian. One of my earliest memories is another little girl telling me what meat was made of (ANIMALS!) and it horrified me. (I'm not rude about it though. It's just not for me.) I don't even know exactly how old I was because I was so young. I try to hide this because it makes people really angry for some reason. (You're probably reading this right now and getting angry.)
5. My brother was born 2.5 months early. I was born 2 months early. We had a 50/50 chance of survival. And now I just had a baby that was born 2 months early. Luckily we all survived.
6. My family thinks it's weird that I like to read books for FUN. (I might be the black sheep of the family. Nobody else likes doing anything creative or even appreciates it much.)
7. I've worked in public and academic libraries & I have my masters degree in library and information science. Maybe after my child has grown I can look for a job as a librarian again. Working the adult reference desk was really fun and I love reading too. When you work in a public library you get to see a lot of weird stuff.
8. My husband says I have a low sounding voice for a woman. When I was a teen a woman once told me that I'd have a good voice for radio because of that. (I hope she didn't mean good FACE for radio.)
9. I made archaeological technical illustrations for a book. So I think it's fun to say that something I've contributed to has been published. It's probably only in a few academic libraries though. My husband also is an author on some science articles because...
10. My husband has his doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry. He did cancer research, but now he's teaching science at a college. I think that's really cool and I can ask him science questions. He goes along with my Final Fantasy enthusiasm pretty well. He helps me write fanfics and comes up with ideas for my cat comics sometimes too.
I'll tag anybody who wants to do this.
Here's some close ups from the last drawing!
