Back-scratches

Sometimes a little itch could do so much more.

Being together for over 5 years gave them time to develop couple quirks, things reserved for the two of them.

Kibums favorite of these had to be their back scratches.

It all started when Taemin had tried to take him on a date for a forest picnic

In a feild of poison ivy

“Tae.... are you sure this isn’t poison ivy? Because, I’m no leaf expert, but I’m pretty sure we are walking through poison ivy, and you’re wearing shorts”

T: Babe, it’s fine, I googled it earlier, it’s fine.

It wasn’t fine. 

Taemin got rashes all along his legs

Thank god Kibum wore pants

It took a day for the rashes to break down Taemin’s sanity.

He couldn’t stop itching

Until Kibum got home from work and made him stop and put rash cream on him that the doctor has given them

“You’ll only make it worse love.”

Kibum took him to bed to cuddle.

Taemin burrowed his back against Kibum’s chest, sniffling slightly as Kibum held his arms to stop the younger from itching.

T: Please let me itch. The cream doesn’t help.

Kibum sighed and just shook his head, moving one arm inbetween then

He started lighting itching Taemin’s back. 

“Love, just focus on your back, think only of my touch okay?”

Taemin fell asleep to Kibum’s sweet nothings and back scratches. 

And that’s how they learned that back scratches calmed both of them, especially on tough days.

If Kibum had a tough day at the office, one where he got home and just threw his stuff near the door and collpased on the coch

Taemin would just shift him sideways and wiggle in between Kibum’s back and the couch and just scarch gentle little patterns into his back.

Or when Kibum would find a sleeping Taemin hunched over in a desk at 4am, having fallen asleep while studying for an exam

He would just run his nails along the younger’s back and wake him up with a gentle voice before bringing him back to bed.

“C’mon love, let’s get you to bed, yeah?”

They just love giving and recieving back scratches from each other

And they also just love each other.
