Queen's Teratarch ๐๐น
~ Trial of Kindness ~
You share one of your ideas with your delightful halfing servant. She is more than eager to participate in your game, so you instruct her and send her into the entertainment room where the suitors are hanging around during the day. You take your place in the next room, behind the glass window disguised as a mirror to observe your suitors' reactions.
Your servant barges into the entertainment room, bawling and asking for help. She is a lost child, so weak, so confused, and she is oh-so-scared. The servant's acting is impeccable, and she causes quite a commotion, tears running down her red face. You make a mental note never to believe her tears. She is simultaneously adorable and obnoxious. According to your plan, she refuses to speak coherently or listen to anyone, but she asks for help from everyone individually. Very soon, she turns bratty and starts pouting and arguing with everyone. You giggle behind the glass.
[ Group 1 ]
โฌฉโค Minotaur suitor's first reaction is to protectively stand next to the 'child'. He immediately stops everyone, demanding calmness and patience. Minotaur asks the 'child' a few questions, but since he doesn't receive any sensible answers, he gets visibly confused. Finally, he offers a small but beautiful rock (he was rummaging through his pockets to find an appropriate one) to the 'child', patting it on the head before moving away. He observes the other suitors carefully, though, with a stern look in his eyes.
โฌฉโค Dryad suitor is actually the first to approach the 'child'. The green vines that are growing from her hair are twitching nervously, and the dryad is giving her best to comfort the 'poor little human child'. She grows flowers on her vines, and then fruits, to offer them to the 'child', but the actress refuses. On the verge of tears herself, the dryad suggests using her pollen to calm her down. Finally, she sits next to the 'child' and simply stays with her, nodding sympathetically.
โฌฉโค Demon suitor doesn't approach the 'child' the longest. All three of his way heads are smiling in the kindest way possible, and discuss what to do with her with the other suitors. Once the 'child' starts throwing tantrums, he grows suspicious. He moves around her and checks different things around the room, as if he senses there was a trick at play. He stops in front of the mirror, as if he can see you (he shouldn't be able to!) and smiles with his three mouths wide and eerily.
[ Group 2 ]
โฌฉโค Orc suitor is surprised by the 'child's' sudden appearance and suspects foul play or a trick, right away. They scowl at her and the other suitors, ready to fight. They question her and grows dissatisfied with her behaviour. Finally, they grab her by the collar and lift her in the air, scolding her for crying so much. As the 'child' breaks into wailing, they almost drop her. There is an obvious guilt written all over their face. Uttering a sincere apology, they ask the servant for permission to hug her. She refuses, so they sulkingly leave her.
โฌฉโค Shadow monster suitor observes the other two far more assertive suitors and listens to the distraught child. His fluid shape takes the form of a rabbit and tries to calm her down by asking questions using visual stimuli. He offers to take her back to her beginning point. Further anguish of the 'child' seems to not push him away. He patiently waits next to her (probably to finish with her tantrum), turning into different animals and waving at her.
โฌฉโค Angel suitor immediately approaches the 'child'. He kneels in front of her, smiling and asking her questions. He takes out a notebook and writes down all her answers. He analyzes the situation, gives suggestions on how to solve it, and asks for assistance from other suitors on what to do with the 'child'. The moment the servant starts getting bratty, he steps away, slightly confused, and asks for someone with 'child skills' to step forth.
[ Group 3 ]
โฌฉโค Centaur suitor almost pushes all the other suitors out of the way. She confidently approaches the 'child' and tells her not to worry and that she can solve everything. As she doesn't get the reply she expects, she tries speaking in different languages (very few of which you recognize). The 'child' doesn't respond to her efforts and cries even harder, so the centaur tries to close the servant's mouth and begs her to be quiet. Eventually, she even offers a ride on her back with an embarrassed blush.
โฌฉโค Naga suitor looks at a 'child' suspiciously. Out of all the suitors, he's the only one to notice it is not a 'child' but an adult halfling. Still, she needs some help, obviously. Perhaps some alcohol or a nap. He offers a cigarette, but the servant refuses. Her cover is blown, but she keeps a distraught facade and persists in sobbing. Naga suitor shrugs his scaly shoulders, comments that humans tend to be quite sensitive about certain things, and continues reading his book, but continues observing the situation.
โฌฉโค Living armour suitor is very difficult to read, considering they have no living feature whatsoever. But their body, or rather armour language, is expressive enough. They speak quietly, asking questions, nervously rubbing their gauntlets, joking about how too many tears could rust his metal suit. As the crying intensifies, they nervously scratch their non-existent body under their helmet, asking for help from other suitors.
Please vote for the suitor you like the most so far. Percentages will count as points. There will be another poll and the percentages will add up. The one suitor with the least amount of points from each group (so three in total) will leave the court.
