Long time, no see, Fall pals! We’re back—for a minute!

While it’s no secret that Skatterbrain has fallen into a pretty neglected state of disrepair, it’s also really no secret that I’m pretty unable to resist the cozy charms of a good Fall mix—so here we are. There’s loads of new and amazing tracks here, most notably All Dogs’  seriously truly completely wonderful “Flowers” and a demo by Russia’s Ensslin that I’ve barely been able to turn off for weeks. And if that’s not enough, it all starts with Veruca Salt’s “Number One Blind,” which is basically the musical equivalent of a pile of crunchy leaves.

A mere 48 hours into September and I'm already driving away friends and family with my annual premature over-enthusiasm for any and all things remotely reeking (s/o to the pumpkin candle I've already had going for the past week) of Autumn. But, sorry I'm not sorry. Even if it is still hitting 80+ highs, my mind has now officially fixated itself upon some crisp and chilly dreamworld where everything is orange and nothing is sweaty. Now, it's only fitting that I soundtrack this new mindset as appropriately as I can. AND I HAVE.

If you're still clinging to those Summer pearls, this might not be the mix for you, but if you're already having daydreams of leaf piles and hot cider, then you're in good company.
