a thousand words flood her mind, and maybe that’s the problem. it’s a thousand too many. thirteen hours on her feet, every muscle in her body aches from the tension — from fighting to save a patient that may not make it through the night. a thousand thoughts for him, a thousand thoughts for the woman beside her, a thousand thoughts racing. the sound of arizona’s voice brings her back to earth, just a little, and teddy’s grateful for that. teddy’s grateful for her in general. there’s a soft smile on her lips as she looks at her girlfriend. just... looks at her.
with a sigh, her head moves to rest on arizona’s shoulder, “it’s just been a long day, that’s all,”
