So what are your thoughts on the skarr?
All right buckle up because I’m midway through outlining a fic about Skarrsinger Karmelita, so I’ve got a lot of half-baked thoughts. They’ve got a lot going on in those Far Fields and the Hunter’s March. They’ve also got the Beast Crest in Hunter’s March. Those bugs are used to dodging lava and they are good at it. Can and do kill me if I’m not fast enough. I do wonder at the Skarr’s history–they drop rosaries, so they found those some degree of valuable, whether they robbed the bugs of Pharloom or traded with them prior to the Haunting, or both. There are also those Mottled Skarr–where did the hatred of them come from?
Karmelita’s interesting. Like Vespa, she seems to have held back a Pale Being, for however temporary a time. The line seems very thin between god and bug in the world of Hollow Knight, sometimes. Clearly a great warrior, like her fellow Skarr. I wonder just how old she is, in the grand scheme of the Skarr. Is she one of many Skarrsingers, or the most honored, or the only one of her kind? So much to wonder about
