Me: “I know O Holy Night in English, French, and Swedish”
@benjji2795 : “Why do you know O Holy Night in Swedish?”
Me: “Completely normal reasons, definitely not related to a gay TV show, that’s for sure.”

What I think is great about Skam France
I just need to write a few words after the first Clip of Skam France. And I will try to be positive about it, too! We all know how difficult it is to impress when you try to remake something that everyone loves. But here's what I think is great about it:
It felt kinda cool to see the heading SKAM FRANCE because it hit me that....shit, Skam is big... This small show from tiny Norway is remade in France.... damn...
The music gave me feeeels. <3
I loved to see Yanni played by a POC actor. I think to have more diversity than in Norwegian Skam is a wise choice.
There's another thing that's good with seeing this other version of Skam. It becomes very clear what worked so well in the original show. It wasn't just the writing, or the music, or the actors in itself. The writing was damn good, of course, but it wasn't everything. Julie Andem's directing must have had a big role, and it worked so well with the actors and the music and everything else. Also, the importance of these small moments illustrating the characters, become evident. Like how Isak originally joked about Jonas being his bro, and that it meant that he had to tell him everything.
Oh, and it warms my heart to see how lovely people in the fandom translate the show and write subtitles. That gives me some serious feels, too.
Anyway. To stay positive, I will stop there. I hope that Skam France can be something that the French kids (and maybe others?) can relate to. I really hope so.
In Oslo, Rome, Paris, Madrid, Berlin and Antwerp a special couple is celebrating christmas together next week 😭❤
I'm bored so send me asks. Who is you all time favorite skam + remakes character and why?
