In honor of Fic rec days, I’ve decided to make a post about my favorite Liverpool fic, which all definitely deserves some more love.

Sanguine by inkoustem //  Liverpool in the night is - // I cried a lot. I mean that by the end of this my eyes were blurry with tears and I was sobbing a little bit. The sort of gen fic that’ll get you through the hardest losses.

empires burning in your veins by redandgold //  Xabi, you call, I'm here. (or: five minutes Stevie says Xabi's name.) // How the essential Gerlonso fic was written by a Manc is something I’ll never understand, but here we are and it’s beautiful and prefect and will probably make you cry a little.

the art of losing by Anemoi // Jordan learns. (Or, season 2014/15 in review) - Hendolallana // This fic has got everything. Hendo’s journey of self-discovery and his feelings for Adam. I could basically link any LFC fic by @mesutings​ and It’ll be absolute perfection, which is why I’ll immediately link another:

virtues, not vice by Anemoi // In all the world there is no right way of doing anything.  // Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez and selective blindness.

run for the light by Anemoi //  The Macca and Growler partnership, beginning to end. - Steve McManaman/Robbie Fowler // the subsection of Liverpool fic that’s Vintage Liverpool fic is my favorite. Everything about this fic is my favorite.

The seven step ultimate hangover remedy by @lesbleusthroughandthrough​ //  We met each other on a Sunday morning, both doing the walk of shame AU, or: Emre claims he can cure Philippe's hangover. - Caninho // Listen, this was Caninho before Caninho was real. the AU fic as perfect as Emre’s face.

Your best mistakes by lesbleusthroughandthrough // My summer job is working at a coffee shop and this cutie comes in everyday so one day I finally write my number on their drink but then YOU grab the cup by accident and when you call me I don’t know how to turn you down so I end up going on a date with you but wow actually you’re hotter than my original crush so it worked out well AU - Caninho // I’m reccing this WIP because you won’t care that it is, as it’s utter perfection and Caninho are both giant nerds.

Meet me in our secret place (when the time has come) series by @captainsarmband​ // Your guide to heartbreaking Skagger // Because a fic rec can’t be complete without the person that got me into writing Liverpool in the first place. Love this series, as much as it breaks my heart every time.

Midnight on the halfway line by canarycreams // Gerlonso, Schoolboy AU // A fic from way back when I was still a kid, but essentially football fic in it’s purest form, even if it’s an AU. It’s poignant and wonderfully written, and it’ll stay with you long after you read it. (In my case, 8 years)
