THE AQUABATS ARE SUPER RAD!

*Sounds from my life during middle school*

This band deserves more praise & recognition.

This was the first song I heard off of the first album I ever heard from The Aquabats!

I traded this album for Reel Big Fish's "Turn The Radio Off" (I traded it with my sister - even though we pretty much shared our CDs anyway so it didn't really matter haha). I think I might have traded Save Ferris for Less Than Jake (I think... no that can't be right.. no yeah I did).. Yeah I traded her Save Ferris' album and then I ended up buying the album again later anyway so it didn't really matter (because that album rules).. because she wasn't budging on "Losing Streak", but I love that album so much that I traded Save Ferris for it (which is saying something because I Love that album, too).

I have all of these albums still.. kept them since the mid 90s. A piece of the 1990s that will stay with me (because Ska is AMAZING).

ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LIFE WAS TELLING SCOTT KLOPFENSTEIN & DAN REGAN (FORMERLY) OF RBF THAT I TRADED MY AQUABATS ALBUM FOR THEIRS. Scott was like, "Oh, that's a really good album!" (haha) and Dan Regan totally showed off his complete video set of ALL of the 'Planet of The Apes' movies (which I still think is pretty amazing to have even by today's standards). This was when I met them back in 1998 when they played at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida at Downtown Disney (back when it was called Downtown Disney). August of 1998 - Anyone else catch that show? (Frenzal Rhomb opened along with Springheeled Jack - my first show)

I've got more memories of meeting certain folks in the ska scene in the 90s.. GOOD TIMES

The song that started it all for me (anyone who truly knows me knows that Reel Big Fish is [and always will be] one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME).

My big sister told me about Reel Big Fish back in 1997 (she pretty much got me into the ska scene in middle school; I am forever grateful). This was AFTER I had already heard "The Impression That I Get", but I did not know about ska or ska/punk until my sister told me about THIS band (as well as many other ska bands that became legendary in the ska scene).

I will always be grateful for all of the happiness Reel Big Fish brought me and my sister (and everyone we shared this music with in our lives). This music was one of the only things that brought any form of joy or escape from my life at the time (having come from an extremely tumultuous household growing up).

I'll always have fond memories of listening to this album (every single day) and exclaiming my love for Reel Big Fish & SKA in the 90s in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.

This one is for everyone who loves what Reel Big Fish did for music.

Post Script: Aaron Barrett is one of the Greatest guitarists of ALL TIME (and definitely one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE GUITARISTS). This is a fact.

"Turn The Radio Off" is probably my favorite album of all time. ..I have yet to make that list (one day). It's TOTALLY up there though..for sure.

That line-up for Turn The Radio Off is my favorite out of all of the different RBF rosters (a ton of incredible musicianship happening in that band, dudes).
