Hii hope you're having a good day/evening! Just wanted to say thank you so much for getting me into dgs. Like at first I was so reluctant to get into it because I was super attached to the modern setting aa characters. Unfortunately, now I have dgs brainrot and I no longer care about aa characters as much (my brain just works like that :(( ) Never have I liked a main cast of characters as much before (usually I'd have atleast 1 char I dislike or don't care about). Yeah, I wouldn’t say that I was skeptical but I do remember being kinda “meh,” when I learned about it being a thing when the localization trailer happened. I knew I would play it eventually but I had like, a game and a half left of Ace Attorney I needed (or felt I needed) to finish first. But then the fan content for dgs got me more excited and curious as I was finishing aa6, so I was pretty hyped when I started it and I totally agree with what you said about dgs’ whole cast immediately being extremely lovable and/or intriguing.
Also I get what you mean about losing some care for the main series (and that’s totally okay as is) but try not to worry too much about it! In my experience, sometimes I can switch better between two hyperfixations and sometimes I can’t, but regardless there are lots of things I will put down for some weeks/months/years and then awaken them again for a bit so you’ll probably get some more fun out of the main series again someday 💜
