AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has raised serious concerns over the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate alleged irregularities in donations collected for the Ram Temple project in Ayodhya. He argued that the SIT lacks key legal powers such as issuing summons, conducting arrests, or carrying out raids, questioning its effectiveness and legitimacy. Kejriwal also cited a similar 2021 probe that reportedly produced no major outcome and called for an independent investigation by agencies such as the CBI or ED. The controversy has intensified political debate over transparency, accountability, and the handling of public donations linked to one of India’s most significant religious projects.
