If only for the confusion when the Jedi would assume that any Force user who is basically kind-hearted and friendly and doesn’t wear all black or have glowy eyes must be an ancient *Jedi*. Whereas Vejaar would be happy thinking the ecumenical efforts of the Alliance must echo through the centuries for these Jedi to be so chill about having a Sith in their midst.

This would last until a comedically appropriate moment which... let’s face it, would quickly turn into a tragic one.

You know that line about “be the person your dog thinks you are”? Turns out it works for Sithpuppies, too.

If Vejaar likes you - and being a puppy, he likes most people who haven’t actively given him a reason to hate them and at least half the people who HAVE - he sees you as the best version of yourself. Not necessarily an idealized one, it’s not that he doesn’t see or care about your dark deeds or petty little faults, but... that’s not who you ARE, to him. 

Sithpuppy! 

- he tends to leave things like datapads lying around wherever he happens to be when distracted by something more interesting. This includes “on the floor of the ‘fresher cubicle”, “under the bed”, “in the bed”, “on the couch” and, on one memorable occasion, “in the pilot’s chair of the Fury”. That last led to Pierce needing to have glass shards removed from a rather delicate part of his anatomy; subsequently Vejaar has at least tried very hard not to do this again.

- he can’t seem to burn off all his energy in the relatively cramped quarters of the Fury, so whenever he’s planetside and not actively engaged in a mission, he goes out and just… runs. Bonus points if the local environment offers opportunities for tree-swinging or Force parkour.

Namely, finding Vette’s mother, and finding her dead, and knowing that most of the slaves he’s encountered in his life have had their families torn apart in that same way. And that it’s not something he can conceptualize as the cruelty of some individual Darth or Moff or their underlings. The Empire as a whole is built on slavery, it has as a basic assumption that it’s okay for some people - many people - to have their freedom taken away, their family bonds broken. In some cases by the very same people who taught HIM that such things are sacred.
