#sitcom squad

Last April I got to visit the lovely @chucklecove | @awkwardalynn for my birthday and we got silly in my sketchbook. I drew a page while waiting for her to come out of work and then she drew some and yeah--I’ve-been-meaning-to-scan-anduploadthiswoops.

Nova’s still plotting to take Kielbasa. 

“Never buy weed from a van where it’s been baking all day in the sun.”

Mal and Nova in high school. Just a funny blurb I drew in....February and--yeah I have no excuse why I didn’t post this sooner.

I’m at the laundromat for awhile until our dryer’s fixed so I decided to try Inktober while waiting.

Nova’s apartment has a communal laundromat that pays for itself within the rent. She gets her laundry done at night like an anti-social butterfly.

I should mention that while drawing him, “In the Arms of An Angel” was blasting loudly.

I deserved that.

“Now you’re gone, but I’ll be okay. Your hot whiskey eyes have fanned the flames. Maybe I’ll burn a little brighter tonight. Let the fire breathe me back to life!

Baby, you were my picket fence. I miss missing you now and then. Chlorine-kissed, summer-skin I miss missing you now and then.”

These two grew on me. My lovey-dovey children.

Yes, he does have an NxM tattoo. Nova designed it for him.

He’s dead now.

3. Scars or painful spots:-There’s a scar on the back of her neck due to falling off of a swingset as a child, and another scar on her ankle from being bit by a rattlesnake as a teenager when she visited her cousins in Arizona. She lived through the second ordeal, thank god, but right foot is sometimes fuzzy because of the impacted muscle.

6. Their vices (physical or emotional):-She smokes when stressed. It helps calm her down and set her at ease. Some days she’ll go through an entire pack before getting calm. Other times she’ll be off smoking for a month.-She’s also a procrastinator and will leave most things till the last minute to do, especially if it’s something she’s  forced and doesn’t want to do at all. It’s just not in the stars. Can’t do it. Not today.

10. Fears/Phobias:-Because of the snake bite, she’s still uneasy around snakes. She’s also afraid of death and doesn’t like E.T. the alien. Yes, the last one is weird but it scared her to bits when she first saw the movie as a child.

13. What gets them flustered.-Getting into an actual relationship again. The most she’s gone since high school and after Marshall’s death were mostly one-sided crushes. They usually faded out before she could act on the feelings and she’s personally not ready to fully dive into that aspect again. It doesn’t fluster her as much as it scares her but hey, that’s life for you. -She also gets normally flustered at seeing people wear socks and sandals–it’s just–no. Stop that. That’s really stupid, what the hell??

Go ahead and try to hit me if you’re able. Can’t you see that my relationship is stable? I can see you hate the way we intermingle– But I think you’re just mad ‘cause you’re single~ (x)

“Jail Break” was on today, and it inspired me to finish this piece. I love Tara Bee and her unabridged sass.
