Idea for dnd character: a transgender person that spent their entire life learning how to change the past so they could have the childhood they deserved. You could go 2 ways with this concept:
1. They fail and they become a tragic character. A story of wasted potential and effort spent on something impossible. Sisyphus finally giving up.
2. They succeed, healing the past and living a better life than ever imaginable. Sisyphus reaches the top, where he and his boulder may rest.
Did we laugh as Sisyphus struggled against the boulder? The Furies might have, but real people would have gazed in awe. This is the measure of a man. This is what we must strive to be. In the face of an impossible task, one meant to torture, we must persevere and show the Gods that we are unbreakable. We will not back down and give up.
