A trip to Mystic Falls had been long overdue.  She realized that the moment she hit the town limits.  The years away had been good to her but this was home.  She wondered when it was time to turn around and go back if she actually could.  

"This is .  . ." She laughs incredulously, "It's just so much cooler than where your Mom and I went to high school." Elena is still blown away with the changes that Caroline has made to the old boarding house, for the better in Elena's opinion. "Hey, I'm not pulling your out of spells and potions 101 right?" To be honest, she wouldn't be surprised if Caroline had Bonnie teaching kids how to ride on a broom in the backyard.
