Synopsis: Siolis drops a bombshell on their colleagues, and takes their spouse to a ball hosted by a prince who has been harassing flirting with Siolis for years. But what does Siolis do when said prince tries to tear you two apart and insults you?
PAIRING: Siolis Adonis x GN!Reader.
CW: THIS IS ASS! just warning since i wrote this on tumblr instead of google docs so idk, I have an imaginary magical species called the Shiko, they have Black or Brown hair as a base and strands of color of any shade or hue that signifies how much magic they have yada yada, it's implied you have a bit of black and your favorite color as your hair mk? Siolis gets hit on, theres a prince who doesnt know boundaries, yandere tendencies and possessive behavior, Siolis is touchy, not beta read, No use of Y/n.
"Hm, I'm bringing with me a plus one as well." Siolis suddenly speaks up amidst the conversations between the group of Royal Assistants, their voice echoing among them as some of their subordinates sigh.
"Let me guess, Chief Assistant Siolis, you're bringing your pain in the ass brother. Again. Sio, no offense but he can and will cause us to go to war with a nation sooner or later! He can't come with us."
Co-Chief Allysa interjects, dearly exhausted with both Siolis and that jackass of a brother Redanis, Allysa refuses to use his stupid nickname.
Siolis looks up from the pile of paperwork they were working on, an admirable yet exhausting trait of theirs is to work regardless of whether the team is on break or not, though thankfully they still chat with their subordinates fondly.
"No, why would I bring Red with me to the ball in Estonia? I'm bringing my spouse," They say your name, voice soft and loving, face relaxing an inch as stunned silence envelopes the room.
A member of Unit-A of the Royal Assistants explodes, "...You're... You're married?!? When did that happen!?" In all his years working within the palace and by Siolis' side, Karl couldn't grasp at the very notion of Siolis being married, and in love no less!
The source of everyone's confusion and shock went back to work, mumbling out that they've been married for two years now, much too focused to realize that this fact will spread all over Xelera soon enough.
"H-Hold on, you mean like... In love married? Like, you're married to this person lovingly and will forever be by their side?? Are you sure??"
Another perplexed Royal Assistant spoke out as they leaned in, aching to hear a confirmation from the typically stoic person Siolis is. Again, Sio raises their head, now confused as well as they respond to the strange question.
"Yes?? We've been courting for four years prior to our marriage. I've been wearing our band of bond for years, I assumed you all knew."
"Respectfully, what fucking ring?? You hate rings!" Allysa, a woman who prided herself on being Siolis' closest confidant and friend, the person Siolis will come to whenever they need someone aside from their family, their only true human friend.
"Why would it be a ring? Bands of bond are tight bracelets with your spouse's hair color on them, see?" Siolis dangles their left wrist to the room, and sure enough their wrist had a woven bracelet of black and a color that none of Siolis' family have.
"What?! How were we supposed to know a bracelet is a sign that you're in love and married to someone?!??"
"Well, why would a ring of all things signify marriage to you? Different cultures and species! Don't tell me you forgot."
As the entire room erupted in questions that are frankly invasive in Siolis' opinion, Siolis is just happy that their secondary family finally noticed that they've been bonded and now forever tied to their beloved angel, you.
"... Married..? Why. I... What??? No, that can't be I've been flirting with Siolis for years! I thought..." The prince of Estonia fumbles and stumbles at the sight of Siolis and their alleged spouse, who stood arm in arm with Siolis, your smile lazy and your expression soft.
Siolis had your arm wrapped around theirs, their other hand sitting on top of your arm as a show of affection and love. Or at least that's what everyone else saw, every action Siolis does and takes is a mark of possession, they finally got you in their arms and they're not letting go. Not even during your death.
This was supposed to be the ball that Prince Antoine finally pulls out the big guns and tries to get Siolis' affection, a plan to propose by the end of the night already set and gardens sparkling with pink hearts and red lights. In his slightly delusional point of view Siolis' never paying him any attention and outright ignoring his advances to the point of once kicking him when he grabbed them, those were all signs of hidden reciprocation.
A fire blazes in Antoine's heart as he leaps off his chair beside his father, startling away the servant bestowing him with the news of Siolis' so-called 'infidelity'. His steps hurried down the stairs, unbecoming of a future king but he could care less truly.
Soon enough, he reached the couple of the hour, slowing his steps as he intrudes in the conversation you two were having with some noble Antoine could care less enough to respect.
"Ah, Chief Assistant Siolis Adonis of Xelera! Wonderful seeing you here with us again, truly it is my favorite moment of the ball! Seeing your lovely face and graceful demeanor!" As Antoine charms his way into your presence, his eyes glance toward your face, yearning for the ugly beast of jealousy to show itself and disgrace you in front of your spouse.
But you were secure in Siolis' insane possession to know they wouldn't dare to ever cheat on you. You've seen how Siolis acted around those who flirt with them, for someone they couldn't care about Siolis would berate and insult them without second thought, but it wasn't so easy with the crown prince Antoine.
Siolis shifts every so slightly to bring you closer to them, hand tightening around your arm as they smirk and greet the clueless man ahead of you, they'd warned you of him before this, you knew what to expect.
"Crown Prince Antoine Rafie, good evening. This is my spouse," They called your full name out to him, a common courtesy. "We've been courting 4 years and bonded 2 years now. I wished to finally show off my darling and our bond to the public eye for a long time now, tonight felt the best opportunity for it."
You nodded towards the prince as he unabashedly looked you over, analyzing your clothes for any imperfections, as if Siolis were to ever allow that to happen, they dressed you tonight after all. Which was obvious to everyone with the way you're dressed similarly to Siolis, they incorporated the same shade of green as their hair on your outfit as well, to ensure everyone knew exactly who you are connected to.
The crown prince huffed as his grin shined, "Oh? 6 years together and you never thought to mention such a relationship to me? Why I'm insulted! I gathered you had shared my... feelings as well. Apologies, dear friend, but Siolis has been quite mischievous over those 6 years, I must admit."
The shameless man hadn't let neither of you reply to his clear attempts at tearing the two of you apart, his hand glided to his mouth as he gasped in shock, "You don't share last names, either! Oh, I'm so sorry dear. Looks like-"
"Prince Antoine." Siolis interjected, dead tired of Antione and his antics already, they refused to let him make a mockery of your relationship and your name further.
"I implore you not to continue your ramblings. No Shiko lets go of their family name during a marriage, a Shiko bond or marriage as humans like to call it is strong. There is no going back after it, even if one of us dies there will be no remarriage, and there has never been a case of infidelity."
Siolis made sure their voice was loud and clear, making sure that everyone can hear their conversation, they wanted even the cameras to pick up their confession, so everyone in the world will know of their affection and dedication to solely you, and to mark you as theirs, to ensure not a single person would dare come to you with romantic intention.
"Cease this shameless attempt at tearing us apart. I'm sure there is some other person who would jump at the opportunity to marry you, and that person is not me. Not in a million worlds."
Siolis pulled you so you'd be behind them, their body hiding you from the shameless prince, to show that they wouldn't let anyone raise their voice or their hand against you.
"You didn't need to be so harsh and shameless, Siolis."
"Please dear, he's a fucking asshole, he needed someone to slap him to his senses. Hm... Don't tell me you're worried they'd try to do something to me in retaliation..." They smirked, face soft and hair relaxed and free of any gel, bangs spread across their forehead. Siolis took off all of those stuffy clothes, now shirtless and only wearing their favored pajama pants as they make their way to the bed.
"What? No. I wouldn't care if you died. Hell, I will be the first case of infidelity, and I don't care." You rasped out, tensing from under the blankets as Siolis got on the bed, crawling towards you as you hurriedly try to push yourself away.
Though, any attempt at running away from them was always fruitless as they grabbed you by the arms and pulled you in close, nuzzling into your head disregarding your muffled complaints about them ruining your hair, voice obstructed by Siolis shoving you into their chest.
"As if anyone would fall in love with you after me. Adonis privileges, my love, you will never find a single person who will love you apart from me after our bond. No, they will yell at you, and you will be ostracized, you will become a mockery."
Siolis mumbles into your hair, voice clear for you as they continue their tirade, "But you are royalty with me, I am a deity's descendant, I have the power here, my love, you are nothing without me. You were nothing without me. You should be grateful for my mercy, for my affections to you."
A sigh escapes them, softly lowering their head to nuzzle into your neck, tongue licking stripes along your jugular as you writhe in protest. "Did you know our Eternal Father Amanis Adonis, the diety who created you, and birthed my family, was possessive? He refused to let any of his lovers leave his grasp, none used to leave the house he lived in, and if they tried they were tortured. But no one knows that, except for us Adonis, and no one will ever know."

Who dun it? (Yandere!Suspects x Detective!Reader.)
Masterlist. - Story's Masterlist.
Synopsis: You're a detecive, you have 5 suspects, all of them are smarter than you not that you'd admit it and all of them have no alibi and a motive. But who's done it? It's your job to figure it out along with your partner on the case and the crime scene analyst that just loves to tease you.
Yandere!Suspects x GN!Detective Reader x Yandere!Coworkers.
WC: 2.4k words.
Content warning: Murder, depictions of a corpse, reader isn't taken seriously and honestly doesn't want to be taken seriously, no use of Y/N. 3 male characters, 2 female characters, and 2 non binary characters.
It was supposed to be an aristocratic party. Is what it shouldâve ended as. Yet as screams of terror echo throughout the royal palace of Xelera, you knew it is now much more than that. A murder has taken place, and as the lead detective on the case, it is your job to interrogate all party-goers, and possible witnesses.
Your boss, the Chief of Police. The Chief of Military, the queenâs personal assistant and closest confidant, some mafioso, and some nut job scientist who thinks sheâs a better detective than you. But you knew better, youâre cool, calm, collected, and the smartest person here. You puff out your chest at the self-absorbed thoughts that swirl through your mind.
âSo! Whoâs our vic? A poor butler? A poor maid? A noble lady who heard too much? MaybeâŠâ You lean in, voice dropping to an unnecessary whisper, âMaybe a member of the special forces caught in the middle of a secret mission!?â Your theories just get worse and worse as your colleagues and the members of the Crime Scene Investigation stare at you with confusion and disgust.
The self-appointed nickname âBest detective of the 63rd!â (thougth your coworkers and subordinates would like to disagree) was achieved via the blackmail you obtained of the Captain of the 63rd precinct in a steamy affair while consuming very much illegal substances.
After being confronted by the harsh truth of his crimes, you managed to manipulate him into giving you quite the good position, Sergeant! Youâre still proud of your tactics and intelligence, otherwise youâd still be stuck in a miserable dead end 9-5, and now youâre joyfully stuck in a 7-9 exciting dead end job!
Evan sighs a gust of exhausted air next to you, Evanâs been working his ass off for the past 6 years in an attempt to get promoted to sergeant while you managed to snag the position within 30 minutes of blackmail.
âEveryone, out.â He calls out to the room full of police personnel as he turned towards you, eyes heavy with lack of sleep, it was evident he wasnât able to shave before coming her due to the handsome blonde stubble on his face, heâs wearing his favorite blue hoodie, normal t-shirt underneath with his badge hanging off his neck.
Evanâs eyes lock onto your own excited ones, âNo, sergeant, itâs none of thatââ
You cut him off, âNever say never, detective! Ya never know the possibilities of crazy murders!â You exclaim as you smile full heartedly towards your partner.
Though all you get in return for your very awesome optimism is a look filled with a profound amount of exhaustion and annoyance. As soon as the last of the Crime Scene Unit cleared out of the room he cleared his throat and reported his findings.
âAs I was saying⊠The victim is Lady Zainab Ahmad, a well-known gossiper among the courts. From close friends of hers, weâve found the victims of her over zealous gossip sessions are primarily the queen and all who serve her, being the chiefs and her assistants. Weâve narrowed down the list of suspects to 5 people who have attended.â
You whip your head to Evan, confusion spreading all over your face, â5?! Howâd you bring it down to that?? Thereâs hundreds of people out there! Woah⊠You a mind reader Evan?â Another exasperated sigh left your companionâs lips, his hands cradling his head knowing heâs going to get a migraine soon enough.
âNo⊠No, Sergeant. The way she was stabbed indicates the killer is over 6 feet tall, below 6â7 feet, there are, surprisingly, only 37 people that fit that criteria, but most of those people had never left the ballroom.â You nod along Evanâs words as he explains himself, squatting to the floor, next to the body with tarp draped over it, you note the state of her body after you had lifted the tarp to gather more information for yourself.
âShe looks pretty shocked, seems like it was a surprise attack, hm? Still warm, mustâve been recent. No defensive marks at all, Evanny?âÂ
âDonât call me that. Yes, we all agree that this must have been a crime of passion, the rest of the drawing room is in tact, so far no DNA gathered other than the victimâs, and the words âFor the poison of thy mouth, the shadow will claim thy voice. Be still, and be undone.â are engraved onto the knife. A sentence from the Holy Writ of Sunneva, the chapter âSita Siteen.â Which warns its believers against the sin of gossip and slander against Sunneva and her subjects.â
You purse your lips, no one is religious anymore, except for of course the Church of Sunnae but those guys are regarded as insane to begin with. Itâs been thousands of years since Sunnevaâs last âappearanceâ. Xelera and its people were written to be her children, her oh so benevolent beloved children. No one believes in any of that shit anymore, except for the Shiko, though they werenât Sunnevaâs children to begin with.
No, they had a different Grand Mother, and apparently, their goddess is still active. You donât doubt that, even during the rare appearance of a Shiko where they end up in the worldâs most deadly situation and still come out alive, smiling, and more confident than they were previously. Youâve seen wounds heal themselves on unconscious Shiko, theyâre lucky enough. But they usually despise the rest of the natural order of gods.
Some story about the other gods betraying the Grand Mother Goddess. Since then, any and all Shiko visibly get mad at the mere mention of those gods, and barely tolerate us children of such treacherous gods. That much can be seen by two of the most well-known Shiko in the modern world.
Redanis Adonis, self made mafiaso, just looks at every human he sees with disgust. And Siolis Adonis, whom youâre pretty sure no human has ever made them laugh, always monotone and rigid. Both had shown their violence when necessary, when defending one another, and for Siolisâ case, for defending the Queen when it came to it.
Your sat there, thoughts swarming your heads, eyes boring into the floorboards now covered in blood and malice. Across the body, Evan was a rigid, staring at the sight before him, but not on the corpse.Â
Rather his eyes are trained on your frame, mind swirling with thoughts of how irritating you are, how you barely deserve the job, but sometimes there would be a moment of clarity in the room. Youâve solved dozens of cases correctly, youâre smart enough to do so. He just hates how much he looks up to you. Though that fact stays between him and⊠He shouldnât be thinking of her.
You cleared away the fog of thoughts and conclusions out of your mind, straightening your back and staring at your companion again, hands shoved into the pockets of your waistcoat.
âHmâŠÂ Are Siolis and Red suspects?âÂ
âYes, they were present. I had a guard corroborate that she saw Siolis leave for a suspicious amount of time, Red teleported randomly in the middle of the party, he could have killed the vic and then went to the ball. Siolis under law and morality canât use their magic in the palace, so we can rule that possibility off.â Evan itches at the stubble above his upper lip, eyes trained and droned onto your frame as you once again break contact to remove the tarp completely.
You circled around the victimâs body, âNo one moved her, correct?â Evan responded immediately, âYes, sergeant.â You hum, squatting by her feet, looking at a bare foot. A heel is missing, your eyes slowly shift upwards, studying her appearance. Everything looked pristine, except for the jagged cuts on her dress in her midsection. The stabbing was violent, that much is certain.
Redanis doesnât dabble in weapons, he prefers to use his fist after one too many encounters with the man youâve come to know too much about him and Siolis, who was somehow always there when Red got into trouble with you. And Siolis is too elegant and prissy to do something so unorderly. But all of this could be used to throw you off the trail.
You keep them at the top of your list.
âOther suspects?â You called out to Evan, who once again was ready to feed you all the information you required.
âAn accomplished scientist here to visit her friend Julie McCanister, Chief of Military Gen Ludenhart andâŠâ He sighs uncharacteristically, âChief of Police Grim Ludenhart.â
Your head snaps up towards Evan, giving you painful whiplash you had no other choice but to ignore from the sheer shock of the words that left Detective Mannâs mouth, âChief Grim?! Are you sure???â You almost screech, Chief Grim is the most virtuous and protective man to exist. Youâve met him countless times, and never in your life would you think heâd ever attempt to hurt a civilian, regardless of their crimes.
Evan bites his lips, shushing you as he leaps towards you, grabbing your forearm and pulling you close to him, whispering, âDonât scream it! No one knows except for us!â He sighs, pulling you towards the end of the room, far away from the door.
âHe and Lady Zainab used to be intimate years ago, they separated amicably but there has been talk that she has been trying to reconnect with him, though he refuses her in reason of his love for another. Lady Zainab didnât enjoy hearing that so she resorted to talking badly about him and his secret love. You know how he gets when someone speaks badly of those he cares about.â
You retort, âYeah sure! A bunch of scolding and yelling and maybe heâd fire you, but never kill a random woman! And a noble no less! And you got all of this an hour in the investigation? You should sleep with one eye open, Evan, you might be next you tattletale!âÂ
Evan rolls his eyes so hard they almost pop out, he pulls you closer, your noses almost touching, his voice drops lower, eyes bore deep into your own, âNo. You donât know him, youâve only worked here for 2 years, Iâve seen how he acts when something he loves is threatened, and it is beyond death itself.â
You both stood there, breath fanning over each otherâs faces, one dead resilient on proving Grimâs innocence, and the other in the belief that he is as guilty as any other suspect. The stand-off lasted a while before Evan himself withdrew, spinning so his back is turned to you, a hand on his hip while the other covered the blush covering his cheeks, though that wasnât something you had seen just yet.
You sigh, âGod, this is getting more and more complicated, 4 high profile individuals of Xelera and some scientist⊠Whatâs the correlation..? Any other murders similar to this one, Detective?â You call out to Evan, still oblivious to how intimate you two were a moment ago, your eyes went back to the victim, searching longer for anything out of place.
âIâ Ahem, the scientist is also well-known to the public, sheâs invented a variety of devices that we use currently. She invented a machine that can create human life, using the DNA of two parents, via asexual reproduction, she created wi-fi, bluetooth and a bunch of other shit Iâm not bothered with remembering. And another lesson not to gossip and talk shit. Lady Zainab humiliated Julie in front of half the ball by spilling wine or some such drink on the scientistâs clothes, which ended with Julie almost jumping Zainab, many declarations of death thrown to the noblewomanâs way. Happy ending, Siolis let her borrow some of their clothes soâŠâ
Evan takes in a deep breath, collecting himself before turning back towards you, face still a little pink but much better than the red he was covered in previously. He continues, âAnd no murders like this one, this seems more like a crime of passion, not of repetition.â You nod and hum, as usual your companion is right.
You begin to lose yourself in your thoughts as you try to construct a story to the scene, but were interrupted soon enough by Evan speaking again, âAnd Gen isââ
You flinched, god he yells at you for being obvious and then he does it too?! âSH!! D-Damn it Evan do you want us dead?! I know that sheâsââ You stop, grimacing as you twirl your pointer finger around your temple, Evan immediately understands what you were trying to say.
Chief Gen hasnât been herself since the war 2 years ago, sheâs been erratic, violent, and emotional. She can laugh with you right before she rips your larynx straight from your throat, her mood swings were severe, and Grim was the only one able to calm her down. He hated it, the sight of his sister dumbed down to an overly traumatized soldier with severe personality disorders that only emerged after she came home from the battlefield, clinging to dead friends and comrades like they were the last thing holding her together.
Bearing this in mind, you decide to place her at the top of the suspect list. This wasnât out of the ordinary for Gen, you have come into crime scenes where it was glaringly obvious Chief Gen had done it. But every single time, Chief Grim was there to slide the case under the rug, forcing you and everyone on your task force to retire it, there was no hope.
After taking a moment to collect yourself, you nod at Evan and let him lead the way to the room holding the suspects. After a long walk, you were met face to face with every suspect on the list, all were quiet, eyes trained on your figure as you confidently walk to the middle of the room, with no hesitation, pause, or fear, you address the room.
âGood evening, everyone. I apologize for the inconvenience, but were you all made aware of why youâve been gathered here?â You pause, allowing everyone to nod and hum in approval, âGood! Alright, Iâll take everyone one-by-one for interrogation. First⊠Julie McCanister?â The woman stands tall, her dress shoes clicking on the floor as she steps forward slightly.
âPlease follow me, it wonât take long.â You flash Julie a charming smile before turning and nodding once more at Evan, allowing him to take you to the temporary investigation room.Â
But you werenât able to take 3 steps before the low voice of Grim Ludenhart spoke up, âSergeant, I hope you know how sensitive this case is.â You take a peak at him, smile gone, but you can tell heâs stressed, he likes you enough to consider you a friend. Anyone who knew him well enough knows that whenever he says condescending shit like that, it was out of fear for your own safety.
A smile graces your face as Julie stands beside you, ready to move when you do. âOf course, Chief. I wonât do anything to disappoint you.â

WC: 3,154 Words.
"Yeah⊠celibates, huh?" they murmured against your skin, their breath hot and teasing. "Why donât we change that right nowâŠ" You gulped, nodding slightly as a furious heat spread through your cheeks.
Siolis lifted their left hand, their fingers spreading slightly. Waving their hand softly as smooth soft green magic particles materialize, dancing through the air like a swarm of bioluminescent fireflies. The particles rushed toward the office door, wrapping around the handle and the frame. A heavy, resonant click echoed through the room as their innate magic locked the door securely, sealing the private suite and completely separating your passionate confessions from the rest of the world. No sound would exit this room. No one could get in.
They looked back down at you, their iridescent tattoos instantly bleeding into a deep, intense, and suffocating shade of violet as the afternoon sun shines through the windows.
"Now," they whispered, their baritone voice sending a thrill through your chest. "Where were we?"
They didn't give you a chance to answer, Siolis leaned down and captured your mouth again, but the playful, lighthearted energy from before was completely gone. This kiss was deep, slow, and utterly consuming.Â
Their tongue slid past your lips, claiming your mouth with a heavy, rhythmic dominance that left you whimpering against their chest. their hands slid down your arms, pinning your wrists gently to the couch cushions beside your head, their fingers locking perfectly between yours.
The contrast was maddening. While their Shiko magic hummed, their body was radiating pure heat. You writhed beneath them, your hips shifting instinctively against their knee, which was still wedged firmly between your thighs.
âMmh, getting desperate?â they murmur against your lips, eyes flitting open to watch your expression, tight and conflicted as it is. Siolis imagined it was hard not to feel such conflict when one is being devoured by their boss, in said bossâ office
Letting out a low, ragged growl of approval as you tightened your grip on their hand, Siolis broke the kiss, their mouth traveling down the line of your jaw to bury itself in the sensitive skin of your neck. they bit down softly on the column of your throat, their teeth scraping just hard enough to make you moan and writhe before their tongue licked over the mark, soothing the sting.
"Sio..." you breathed, your hands breaking free of their grip to tear at the buttons of their shirt. You wanted them closer. You needed the smooth, unblemished skin of their chest pressed directly against yours. Siolis grabs your wrists, making your hands clutch at the sides of their waist, god the amount of times you daydreamed of grabbing them there⊠it almost felt wrong. You didnât care however, your nails digging into the skin of their relatively slender waist.
Siolis peppers a kiss on your cheek, allowing their tongue to lick the kiss after it had been planted on you, they let go of your wrists and grabbed at the collar of their dress shirt. "Let me," they murmured, their voice thick with a dark, commanding heat.
With an effortless, fluid grace, they sat back on your thighs, their eyes never leaving yours as their hands quickly tore open the remaining buttons of their shirt, throwing the expensive fabric to the floor. their shirtless torso was breathtakingâdelicate, lean muscle mapped out by the brilliant, glowing violet lines of their tattoos. The single green strand of hair hung loose and free across their eyes, making them look wild, dangerous, and utterly untamed compared to their usual diplomatic self.
The subtle definition of their torso was a quiet and pleasureful torture, your hands trailing up from their waist to caress the firm, elegant planes of their abdomen. A low, ragged breath escaped their lips, a rare fracture from their usual calculating composure, your touch igniting the⊠issue in their pants further. they reached out, their long, neat fingers catching the buttons of your uniform. they paused, their sharp gaze locking onto yours, silently asking you if they should continue.
"Is this okay?" their voice was rough, stripped entirely of its usual diplomatic veneer.
You nodded without a fraction of hesitation. The ancient burdens and the quiet secrecy of the world outside faded into the background; there was no hesitation in your heart any longer, you needed this goddamned hunk of an individual destroying you now. Even if Siolis could easily snap your puny human spine in half.
Slowly, deliberately, they unbuttoned your shirt. their mouth followed the path their fingers cleared, pressing demanding, searing kisses down the slope of your neck and across your chest. When their hand settled over your belt buckle, they tilted their head up. Through the dark fringe of their lashes, their lilac eyes burned with absolute devotion. Your hands gripped their chest, squeezing the firm muscle before you lifted one away, there was enough muscle for it to be squeezed and plush through your fingers. A flicker of disappointment crossed their sharp features, but it vanished the moment your fingers tangled into their dark hair, gently sweeping their bangs aside to cup their cheek.
"Please..." The whimper broke from your throat, raw and pleading. Siolis looked no better, their cunning mask completely shattered by the sheer weight of an unnatural need for you.
A faint, deeply grateful smile touched their lips. they leaned down, pressing a lingering, reverent kiss against your stomach as their fingers expertly undone the clasp of your belt and slid the zipper down. Tapping your hip with a firm, commanding pressure, their voice rose in a needy hoarse murmur: "Up."
You obeyed instinctively, lifting your hips from the couch just enough for them to shimmy the trousers down your legs. The moment the fabric cleared past your knees, they tore it away with an insatiable, sudden force, sending the uniform crashing across the marble floor of their office.
Siolis crawled back up the length of your body, a dark, dangerous amusement gleaming in their eyes. âMaybe I should make you wear shorts, hm? Easier to deal with, nicer to look at..."
A breathless gasp caught in your throat, but Siolis didn't give you time to recover. they dipped their head lower, their breath hot against your skin as they pressed a soft, lingering kiss against the fabric of your undergarments. A low hum of satisfaction vibrated against you. their cold, slender fingers hooked into the waistband, pausing for one final, silent look of permission. You nodded instantly. Keeping their immense Shiko strength carefully checked to spare the cloth, they smoothly stripped the remaining barrier away.
Now completely exposed to the chill of the air and the heat of their piercing intensity in their eyes, your thighs trembled against the warm leather of the couch. Siolis did not hesitate. they settled himself deeply between your knees, their broad shoulders blocking out the rest of the private office, turning you into their entire universe. The iridescent tattoos along their shoulders and neck flared under the shifting golden hour sun, their grip on your thighs resolute.
They gripped your thighs, their palms hot and unyielding as they parted you completely, pinning your legs flush onto their shoulders, willing you to squeeze their head if you wished. When their mouth made contact with your center, the sheer, sudden intensity of the sensation made your spine arch violently.
They were unhurried but utterly relentless. Their tongue stroked upward, tracing the highly sensitive skin of your core with a heavy, deliberate pressure that turned your thoughts into white noise. they swirled around your heat, tasting you deeply, drinking in the slick arousal you yielded for them alone. Every ragged gasp that tore from your lungs only seemed to drive them further; their mouth pressed harder against you, their breath hot and ragged against your inner skin.
Your hands scrambled for purchase, your fingers digging tightly into the thick, dark tresses of their hair, alternately pulling them closer and pushing against them as the pleasure grew too sharp to bear. Siolis groans at the sensation, the vibrations of their throat sending a jolt of pleasure through you as your grip only tightens on the thick, black hair of their s.
Siolis hummed against your skin once more, a low, vibrating growl of absolute possession that echoed through your entire body. they swirled their tongue flat against your most sensitive point, their fingers digging firmly into your hips to hold you completely still. they drank you in, anchoring you to their frame while the world outside burned, completely consumed by the sacred, hidden fire of the only empire that mattered.
The relentless, heavy friction of their tongue against your core drove you directly to the precipice. Every sharp stroke was masterfully calculated, designed to push you past the point of endurance. Your fingers tightened convulsively in their dark hair, tugging desperately as your hips buckled against the firm, unyielding anchor of their grip.
Siolis only growled against your skin, the sound vibrating directly through your nerve endings. they refused to give you even a second of reprieve. their thumbs dug deep into the flesh of your hips, locking you flat against the cold quartz surface of the anvil while their mouth worked with an insatiable, consuming hunger.
The heat in their office seemed to skyrocket, the roaring heat of the fireplace flickered dimly from neglect, yet it felt as though you were being burnt alive, youâre unaware if it were the heat of pleasure or the heat of fire. Beneath you, Siolis continued their ministrations as they gazed deeply into your expression, the way your eyebrows furrowed with need, the way your mouth could barely close itself from the overwhelming pleasure, the sounds you made when they sucked on that particular spot of yoursâŠ
"S-Sio... please, I can'tâ" The fractured gasp tore from your throat, your head tossing back as the first waves of the climax began to fracture your vision.
They hummed gently, further roaring your pleasure, as they unlatched from you and mumbled against your core, âYou can.â they knew exactly where you were. they pressed their mouth back harder against you than before, their tongue flattening to deliver a succession of heavy, deliberate strokes right over your most sensitive point.
The dam broke.
A high, breathless cry echoed through the cavernous workspace as your entire body went rigid. The pleasure violently tore through you, a searing, white-hot explosion that felt exactly like the molten celestial metal you shaped by hand. Your hips jerked automatically, convulsing against their face as the release washed over you in heavy, rhythmic waves. In the air above, a massive shower of brilliant green magical particles erupted like a dying star, raining down around the forge and fizzling out against the heated stone floor.
Siolis didn't pull away. they stayed entirely anchored between your knees, their mouth drinking in every drop of your slick release, holding you firmly through the trembling aftershocks until your breathing finally began to slow.
Slowly, deliberately, they slid back up the length of your body. their shirt was completely discarded now, their broad chest glistening with a fine sheen of sweat from the heat of the room. their lilac eyes were dark, heavy with an ancient, untamed devotion as they looked down at your spent, trembling frame. A dark, possessive smirk touched their lips, their chin and mouth still wet with the evidence of your pleasure, they licked off what they could, as they crawled back over you, their eyes almost twinkling with pleasure and need, a deep satisfaction rolls through their body, hands clutching the leather of the couch violently.
They leaned down, catching your jaw in their hand and pulling you into a deep, bruising kiss that tasted heavily of yourself and the bitter coffee they had earlier. their chest pressed flush against yours, their weight anchoring you back to reality as slick sounds echoed off the walls, the sounds of you two basically swapping spit desperately, Siolisâ other hand glued to your core, overstimulating it with gentle touches as they feel you twitch and moan against them .
"Look at you," they murmured against your lips, their deep baritone completely hoarse, vibrating with that absolute pride only a Shiko could carry. "Completely undone on my couch. Ruined for anyone but me. Tell me, has anyone ever made you feel the way I did just now? It doesnât matter, my love, because we are far from done." Siolis purrs almost sadistically as their hand drops from your jaw to your neck, squeezing gently, not to pain you nor choke you, but to remind you of the absolute claim they has over you now.
They reached down, their strong hands sliding smoothly beneath your knees to drag your lower body further up the leather couch. With a single, authoritative pull, Siolis adjusted your position until you were completely parted and vulnerable beneath himâyour thighs pinned flush against their broad chest, your hips tilted upward to meet the heavy, unyielding weight of their groin.
"You look beautiful in my office," Siolis whispered, a dark, fiercely possessive smirk cutting across their aristocratic features. their sharp gaze tracked the erratic, frantic rise and fall of your chest. One of their long-fingered hands trailed slowly up the inside of your thigh, squeezing tightly enough to bruise before caressing the sensitive skin. "Draped across my furniture. Wearing nothing but my shadow."
"Look at me," they commanded softly, leaning down just enough to lock their vivid, violet-rimmed eyes with yours. "I want to see your face when you realize exactly who you belong to."
Your vision blurred, your senses entirely overwhelmed by the raw, radiating heat of their skin. You reached up, your fingers tangling desperately into their dark hair, pulling their face down to yours as a breathless plea of yours broke against their lips. "Please, Sio... now. Please."
Their smirk softened into something deeply tender, yet terrifyingly absolute. "Always so impatient for your supervisor," they teased, though their own breath was ragged, their chest heaving heavily against yours.
Siolis shifted their weight, their solid thighs forcing yours wider as they aligned their aching length against your slick, pulsing center. Slowly, with an unyielding, deliberate pressure, Siolis drove inside of you, slowly stretching you out until you stopped shifting in discomfort. The sheer, massive depth of their entry stretched your core completely, driving the breath out of your lungs as they bottomed out against you. You arched your back violently, your fingers digging hard into the tight muscles of their shoulders as a long, fractured sob of pure pleasure broke through the quiet office, long inelegant scratches were drawn up from their back to their shoulders.
Siolis froze for a single, trembling second, letting your tight walls stretch and wrap around their size. Along their jawline and throat, their iridescent tattoos suddenly flared a brilliant, blinding shade of pure whiteâthe rarest Shiko frequency, reserved only for moments of absolute, overwhelming emotion. The single, vivid green strand of their hair brushed against your damp cheek as they leaned down, burying their face in the crook of your neck, their voice trembling with a raw, fierce devotion.
"You are my angel," they groaned against your skin, their hands sliding beneath your lifted hips to scoop you up, locking your lower body flawlessly against their frame. "My beautiful, perfect co-ruler. I am never letting you go."
Then, the rhythm began.
It wasn't the clinical, calculated movement of a Chief Assistant managing a ledger. It was a heavy, primal, and deeply passionate cadence. Siolis withdrew nearly to the tip before plunging back in, each heavy thrust driving deeper and harder than the last, completely filled with the intent to claim you. The wet friction of your bodies meeting echoed in the quiet space, the leather of the couch creaking loudly beneath your combined weightâa sound completely masked from the outside world by the thick, humming barrier of their green magic sealing the door.
You were entirely undone beneath him. Your legs wrapped tightly around their waist, pulling their heavy frame closer, your voice filling the locked room with a frantic, breathless litany of their name. "Sio... Siolis... please."
"I have you," they growled, their aristocratic composure shattering as their pace became beautifully frantic. their control was snapping. their hands gripped your hips with a fierce, branding pressure, anchoring you to the cushions as they drove you higher and higher toward the edge. "I've watched you for four years. I've run an entire kingdom just to keep you safe beside me. You are mine."
The heat in the office reached a suffocating fever pitch. You could feel the second climax building deep in your core, a tight, coil of unbearable tension that threatened to fracture you completely.
Siolis felt the tightening of your walls, their thrusts becoming short, sharp, and desperate as they chased their own release. their breath caught in their throat as they locked their mouth over yours, drinking in your breathless, frantic cries.
âH-hah⊠Youâ hmmm! You look ravishing, my dear a-assistantâŠâ they groaned shamelessly into your mouth, your own whines encouraging them only further.
With one final, deep, and utterly consuming plunge that embedded them as far as your body could physically take, you shattered. A loud, broken scream was swallowed by their lips as your climax tore through you in waves of pure, blinding ecstasy, your inner muscles clamping relentlessly around him. A fraction of a second later, Siolis let out a low, guttural roar against your mouth, their entire body going rigid. their tattoos flared an absolute, blinding white as their own release hit him, spilling their thick, pulsing heat deep inside of you as they collapsed tightly against your chest.
The green particles in the air flared one last, brilliant time before slowly settling back down to the floor like dying embers.
For a long time, the only sound in the private office was the heavy, synchronized panting of your chests. Siolis remained deeply buried inside you, their heavy frame holding you securely against the couch cushions, their face still tucked safely into the crook of your neck. they felt entirely warm, relaxed, and thoroughly content, their pulse slowly drumming against yours.
Slowly, they lifted their head, a lazy, thoroughly satisfied smirk gracing their lips as they looked down at your dazed, flushed face. they reached up, their normal, gentle fingers softly brushing a stray damp hair away from your forehead.
"Well," Siolis murmured, their deep baritone voice dripping with a smug, casual warmth as their tattoos returned to a calm, happy silver. "Your two-week vacation hasn't even officially started yet... and I'd say our linear progression is already operating at peak efficiency."
After 5 more unyielding rounds, you were cleaned up gently, and fed warmly. And then also being taken to Siolisâ manor where they ravish you like 6 more times, Shiko stamina +Â they âre a warrior.
What do you guys think? Likes and reblogs are highly appreciated!! love you all!!

PAIRING: Siolis Adonis x GN!Reader.
ââŠWhat are you two doing?â
Queen Nia had just burst into her assistantâs office, intending to plop onto the couch and gossip about this weekâs guests from afarâonly to find her personal assistant and the other assistant she's not bothered with knowing in a... compromising position.
You and Siolis were splayed across the couch, them hovering above you, one arm propped beside your face to brace their weight, coincidentally (thank the gods) obscuring your vision and shielding you from the queenâs reaction. Their other hand still cradled around your burning cheek. Their knee pressed dangerously close between your legs, your own hands curled against the sharp cut of their chest. Their lips, which had been locked with yours just seconds ago, were red and swollen matching your own lips.
âMy queen. I am⊠simply teaching defense strategies for when someone kisses them non-consensually. Itâs going well, theyâre learning fast,â Siolis said smoothly, their voice composed and utterly convincing. Not a single stutter. You made a mental note to reward them for that later. Anyone else mightâve believed them.
But not you. You knew better.
You were the one who kissed them first.
Youâd panicked right after, your mind already preparing for the fallout, for the quiet awkward distance that would follow, for your resignation letter and the shame of it allâbut then Siolis had kissed you back. Hard. And thoroughly.
You were exhausted. You didnât think being an assistant to the queen would be this much work. Sure, it should beâbut Queen Nia was an infamously lazy ruler. A queen who didnât care. A queen whose kingdom wouldâve fallen apart long ago if not for her assistants running it in secret. Youâd practically become a monarch yourself. You and Siolis, governing from the shadows.
And then just minutes ago, with an unreadable look in their eyes, Siolis had turned to you and called out your name, âYouâve been working hard lately. So, Iâve cleared you for a two-week vacation starting tomorrow. Donât worry, itâs paid.â
Those words had hit you like a blessing from the gods. Joy bloomed in your chest, warmth spilled down your limbs, and before you even registered what you were doing, you reached up, clutching at the collar of their fancy button down shirt, yanking them down to your face, and kissed them.
It was reckless. Stupid. A moment of pure emotion and no thought. But before you could pull away in horror, before you could even start to regret it, Siolis gaspedâand seized your head in their hands and kissed you back with a fevered urgency that made your toes curl.
Everything after that was a blur of heat and movement.
Their hands ghosting down your body, fingers trailing along the curve of your skin, cool against your warmth. A gasp tore from you as one slipped under your shirt. You instinctively leaned away, but your foot caught the leg of the nearby coffee table and you tumbled backward, dragging Siolis down with you.
Thankfully, the fall was cushioned by the couchâand by Siolis themselves, who shielded your head protectively.
You lay there beneath them, breathless, staring into their eyes. And then, laughter. Loud, shameless, joyous laughter that filled the room as your chests heaved and your grins widened.
âI always wanted to do this,â Siolis murmured once the laughter subsided, their gaze flicking from your lips to your eyes, and back again. âLittle did I know youâd steal my chance from meâŠâ
You didnât hesitate. You wrapped your arms around them and pulled them back down, kissing them again.
Which brings us back to now.
Queen Nia stood by the door, watching the two of you with squinted eyes and a suspicious frown. Her gaze lingered on Siolis a little too long before she spoke.
âGood then. Not like you two would actually do anything. Two virgins canât do anything, am I right? HAH. Iâm pretty sure youâre both celibates anyway.â
And just like that, she turned on her heel and left, shutting the door behind her with a soft click.
Silence.
Then Siolis looked back at you, lips twitching into a grin, eyes dark with mischief. They gently brushed their thumb across your lips, voice dropping low.
âYeah⊠celibates, huh? Why donât we change thatâŠâ
And then they kissed you again, this time deep, slow, and consuming as the soft click of the door lock echoed through the room, green particles dancing like fireflies around the both of you, their magic separating your passionate confessions from the rest of the world.

Chapter 2đâ.Ë Chapter 3 (You are here!) đâ.ËChapter 4
Warnings: Panic attacks, past workplace abuse, genuine torture for reader at their old job, reader has a breakdown, Evan fainting, talks about war and crazy military leaders, siolis is affectionate.
âGod, that was embarrassingâŠâ You had to crawl back to Siolis, shamefully asking for where the camera room is becauseâsurprise, surprise! No one knew there was a camera room, much less any cameras in the palace as well.
Siolis, ever gracious, apologized with that diplomatic smile of theirs and rattled the directions to you. The same directions you managed to get wrong twice. Running back to Siolis with your tail between your legs thrice.
Another sigh escaped you, how many sighs now⊠I think 12, you thought to yourself as you wandered through the grand halls of the palace, slowly making your way to the camera room, looking for the specific door Siolis described to you countless times now.
Gilded ivory door⊠Flower in the center⊠Flower, flower, flower⊠IâŠI circled this door a million times⊠How did I miss it?!
Noting the fact that you needed to make an appointment with the optometrist soon, you knocked on the door. No answer. Well, protocol is protocolâpolite knocks first, brute force next.
BANG, BANG, BANG!!
âPolice!! Open up!â You shouted, fist hammering against the door that is worth your entire salary until you heard the scuffling of feet and muffled voices panicking on the other side. Years of fieldwork and spywork have sharpened your senses, especially your hearing enough to catch the faint sounds coming from the other side.
Click, swoop, clack. And the door opens, greeted by the face of a meek woman and a meeker man behind her, standing there eyeing you like youâre about to kill them.Â
One of them speaks up, the man âTh-this is a-a restricted area!! Y-you canât, uh, be here!!â His hand points at you, eager to make you leave. Except you needed the evidence, and you needed to get this case over with immediately.
Pushing past dumb and dumber, who were both surprisingly lenientâshould make Chief Siolis aware of thatâallowing you to go in with such feeble attempts at stopping you, which was raising their voices a bit and then closing the door to ensure no one finds out about the palaceâs dirty secret. You ignored them thoroughly, hands gliding over the controls of the huge security camera station ahead of you.
Once again, no proper attempts to stop you, threats and whatnot but nothing of substance, you zoomed past footage of the dayâyou saw yourself, Evan, and Red entering the interrogation room, Julie escorted to the bathroom, Evan running with his broken nose, and finallyâ!
Thereâs Red and Lady Zainabâs mother, speaking lowly, and thenâ
the footage blacked out.Â
Static filled the screens, harsh and sudden, the noise filling the small room like hellfire. Right before the camera froze, you saw Red glancing toward the windows off screen. And when the feed returned, he was by the window, prying it open while Lady Ahmad stood behind him, exasperated at his childish actions.
âNo! No! No! No!!!!â You hissed, fingers flying over the keyboard in panic, you scrubbed through the footage again, rewound, replayed, refreshedâbut the same static is what greets you every single time. The cameras were tampered with.
âWh-what the hell happened here!? Whyâs the feed like that? What caused this?!â Your words left your mouth faster than you could process them, I shouldnât be this involved, this emotional over a case, you calmed yourself, breaths slowly entering and exiting your lungs. Eyes stinging with the threat of unshed tears.
The security lady stammered as she responded to you, âI-Iâ Wait! You have no-no identification! This is illegal!â One flash of Siolisâ ID shut her up, âOh. Uh⊠We donât know, C-Chief?â Oh this is just painful, who the hell did the palace hire? âWeâ you know, we just got here⊠S-Sorry boss! WeâWe wonât be late next time!!â
Itâs been over 7 hours since the footage was taken, the concept of being late for seven ungodly hours⊠Youâd be fired if you didnât have the dirt you have, thank god for affairs. You sighed, hands grabbing your face, protecting you from the reality of this case youâre about to fail.Â
You wouldnât call yourself a perfectionist from birth, no it was a trait carved painfully and deliberately by your old boss, by the occupation you had. You were never in the âSecurity Forces of Xeleraâ faction, no, you worked for something far less noble, more shameful. The League of Spies, an unofficial network of contractors who took any jobâlegal or not, as long as the price was met.
Painful, grueling memories came in waves, sharp and relentlessâthe punishments for a single mistake, the weeks of silence you were inflicted by your boss and pears, the way your boss would withhold assignments as a way to force you into learning your lesson. She didnât care about needing the money, about medical necessities or food. Until you learnt your lesson and came begging with genuine fear of repeating the same âmistakeâ you werenât given anything.
You needed to leave.
Rushing out the door, tears falling and breath ragged, you needed peace and quiet, a spot where no one will witness your unravelling. It was a bad time, sure, and an even worse spot.Â
Without thinking, you ducked into the first room you found, slamming the door shut behind you with shaking hands. The smell of roses and wood hit you, subtle and sweet with a strange sense of comfort that enveloped you. The room was quiet, dim, and too calm for the storm that brewed inside you.
You slid down the door as soon as you locked it, hands clutching at your heart as you tried to put yourself together. The memories werenât helping your attack at all. The lashes, whips, the screams, the disgusted looks, having to beg and plead for forgiveness. All over one or two mistakes, a failed mission equaled a failure, and the League has no place for failures.
No, life itself doesnât accept failures, youâve been taught, the lessons beat into you to correct your errors, to reduce them. And it worked, of course with its long lasting effects, youâre still traumatized, but over the three years youâve been a detective you havenât had a single cold caseâuntil now.
As you wallowed in your self pity, a voice called out to you, âSergeant? Are you okay?? Ah, did you get lost again, I can lead you this time.â You flinched, rising as soon as you realized there was someone else in the room.
Wiping your tears away hurriedly, cloudy vision now clear, your sight was welcomed by the lean figure of Siolis Adonis, their staple black eyes and hair with those green streaks immediately flooding your vision, they changed clothes, you note. Their hand rested on the doorknob of what looked like the bathroom.
Why the hell are they outside of the holding room?! God I probably look like a messâŠ
âIâ Ah, Iâm fine. No, didnât get lost just⊠needed a moment. Why are you here, then?â
âThis is my room, Sergeant.â Just my luck. âAre you sure youâre okay? You arenât the picture of fine, right now⊠Wait,â Siolis held their finger up, shutting the bathroom door as they rummaged in their cabinet, and then suddenly as they messed around in there, a flurry of green translucent bunnies jumped out of the cabinet.
You gasped, reaching for your gun before realizing, Shiko magic, you can see Siolis eyeing you with an expectant look, a smile playing on their face as you marvel at the sight ahead of you. No one really witnesses a Shikoâs magic unless itâs used as a last ditch resort to save their lives.Â
You guessed that cheering people up also counted. You watched with a twinkle in your eye as Siolisâ power twirled around you in the form of cute bunnies, landing on your shoulders as you cup your hands, two of them cuddled right into your open hand, chirpingâthey can make noise?!âand sparkling around you.
Soon enough, they rolled one last time in your hands, the rest jumping all around you, and then the bunnies started to go, their bodies now floating specks of shimmery magic, you squeezed, so warm⊠you thought, hands already missing the bunnies.
âFeel better?â Siolis asked, their hands on their hips and a casual smile gracing their face. You looked up, hands falling to your thighs, and as soon as you processed their appearance you gasped, going up to them hurriedly.
Their hair, the usual streaks of soft green on their bangs now reduced to one solitary streak, their hair now completely black, save for the tiny speck of green.
âYour hair! Chief Siolis, itâs⊠itâsââ Your hands go to touch their hair, completely unaware of the person youâre touching, the same person that kneed someone in the groin for touching their arm before.Â
Siolisâ surprisingly calloused hands grabbed your wrists before they got too far, a gentle grip that allowed freedom at the slightest tug, âIâm fine, sergeant, this is normal. I donât have much magic to begin with, so I always look like this when I use my magic, sorry if that scared you.â Though their apology was followed by a quiet chuckle, amused by your worry.
You couldnât really argue with a Shiko of how Shikos are, especially since youâre human. And you really didnât have the energy to question and learn, so you sighed, slipping away from them and sat down on their bed, missing the way their smile twitched.
Eyes gazing into your hands as they fiddle with each other, you spoke, âThe security cameras were tampered with, we have no evidence and⊠Iâm just upset, I take my cases seriously, sometimes a bit too much. What about you, Sio? Youâre not really supposed to be here.âÂ
Gaze shifting towards their form as you take in how they look, a little less stiff, especially now with a very casual blouse and jeans, they moved towards you, settling next to you.Â
âOne of your officers threw up on me. This doesnât look like frustration, Y/n.â They said blatantly, letting you hear your name and relish in it, you havenât heard it for the duration of the investigation, it was disorienting quite frankly. Xelerans are like that, the moment you clock in for your job you abandon your true self and become an employee, only ever addressed as your title unless by coworkers, and even then that is rare.
You enjoyed Siolisâ presence, youâve drank with them and Red before, where they constantly were the one taking you and Red home, sending pictures and videos of last nightâs drunk escapades. The two of you arenât close but you will always consider them as an ally.
You sighed, hands moving to massage your arms, going crisscross as you try to self soothe yourself, âAh, you read me like a book⊠Itâsâ You know already, Sio, my old job⊠Still running through my mind.â You chuckled, trying to keep it lighthearted but the clear discomfort written all over your face betrayed your words.
Siolis hummed, unconvinced, they knew already after you drunkenly confessed to them that you used to do so much illegal shit back in the day, but they never really cared. Theyâve done their fair share of unlawful actions, who are they to prosecute?Â
A sigh left their lips, hands unapologetically reaching out to you, one on your back and the other wrapped around your front, you flinched as they brought you closer and let you lean on their chest. Siolis hummed to you as they rubbed your back, comforting you silently without needing the story of why.
Though of course you were as stiff as a board, given Siolisâ dislike of physical affection unless itâs on their terms, youâve seen their masterful ways of avoiding hugs and affection, it was almost artistic.Â
So when youâre coddled and loved by someone who never does this type of thing? You explode into a puddle of tears, folding yourself into them as you embrace them back, hands tightly clenching the back of their blouse, face burrowing into their chest. Sobs wracked through your body as they let you cry out, sniffles and all.
When was the last time that someone comforted you? Especially after doing a bad job at your own job? You⊠You expected hatred and disgust, but instead you were being soothed by your best friendâs sibling, they hands softly patting your back, chin resting to the top of your head, frequently squeezing you as a way to calm you down.
It felt so damn good, so relieving to let out the stress brimming in the back of your mind to someone who didnât need to hear the entire sob story to know you needed comfort.
You stood in Siolisâ bathroom, the queen obviously spared no expense in the making of this room and in extension the connected bathroom, everything was gilded and golden, stinging your plebian eyes. You washed off the dried tears, looking up at a wet and red face, grimacing over how Siolis now has seen the lowest theyâll ever see youâafter a good fresh cry.
Siolis let you have a moment to yourself, letting you overstay your welcome in their room of the palaceâsomething you refused to forget as your face only got hotterâand they went back to the holding room, not wanting to smother you too much.
I could search this room, see if they have a weapon in here⊠Wait⊠We didnât think of searching this room?! You burst through the bathroom door, looking at the pristine and clean room, yeah, no search team searches this cleanly. Taking a beat to contemplate whether searching the room at this point was even worth anythingâyou just ugly cried to them, and they said nothing, yeah the least you can do is let them have a clean room.
Didnât mean you werenât searching through their shit though.
Drawers and surfaces werenât spared, you searched thoroughly, keeping everything the way it is, looking above and below every object without tampering with them too much. Youâve discovered the odd things here and there, like a notepad written in a language you couldnât discern, a lot of paracetamol, an even larger collection of cigarettes and⊠Youâre going to pretend you never saw those condoms.
After that unofficial search turned up unrewarding you went and chased after the idiot you hadnât seen in two hoursâEvan Mann.
âEvan! Evan!â You called out in the seemingly deserted clinic of the palace, eyes searching for a big idiot with a cast on his nose, soon enough, your big idiot responded.
â6B! Iâm in unit 6B!â
Shoving your hands in your jacketâs pockets, you approached his unit, hand swinging the curtains open to be greeted with Evan sitting on a hospital bed, completely fine save for the cast on his nose.
You cringed, laughing as you went up to him, his fingers touching your thigh as you stood unaware, though itâs the only thing he can focus on, âYikes, looks like the floor won, huh? How are you feeling?â
You groaned as you planted yourself next to him, sitting shoulder to shoulder as you peered into his green and tired eyes. Evan blushed as he looked the other way, âI won, just got hurt while winning, yâknow, and Iâm okay now, drugged as fuck though, I canât feel my fingers!â He wiggled his fingers in your face as you giggled, enjoying the brief moment of silliness before having to get back into a murder investigation.
âHey, guess what.â You nudged at Evan, âRedâs innocentââ Evan rolled his eyes, ââand he has an alibi! So does Julie by the way, turns out there are cameras, and I skimmed through them. Julie did prank our vic and left, and Red was preoccupied the entire time. There was a moment where the cameras caught our perpââ
A gasp cut you off, but you only covered his mouth, âSh, but, the footage was tampered with, we have no clue who they are and what their build is aside from what Red told me, he described them as the height we guessed, he said the build wasnât clear cause they were wearing really baggy shit, so now we cleared two suspects! Just gotta figure out if three Chiefs who are important to our government killed someone and how weâre supposed to arrest them! Fun!â
You finally took a breath, far too excited to tell Evan everything that happened while he was absent, hands flailing in gesture and mouth moving so fast you damn near spit in his eye. Yet, your partner couldnât mirror your excitement, he was only gone for two hours!!!
âSo, I miss everything, by getting my nose broken by our suspect?!â
âHeâs not a suspect, and do you want him to sit there and take it when you jump at him like a hungry bear?â You laughed, though defending his rival only soured his mood further.
âWhat the hell! I canât leave you for a second! I need to cuff you to me, you know.âÂ
âWith a ringâ was left out, but he definitely was thinking it as you laughed, your shoulders bumping his upper arm, the atmosphere light and relaxed, perfect for a first kiss, for confessions, for a good story about how you got together. His eyes always shift to your lips, but now theyâre stuck thereâhow easy would it be to make you aware of his intentions? Would grabbing your chin and making you face him allow you to realize just how much he yearns to nip at your lips?
Evanâs hand shifted from his lap, wanting to reach out and just do it, damn it to hell with the consequences of workplace romance!! Isnât it the most romantic thing to begin with? Working with your partner is adorable! A kiss on the lips and then getting nagged at over how bad heâs done⊠God, just degrade him and collar him already and heâll shut up.
But of course, nothing will ever go Evanâs way. He watched as your face fell, eyes visibly tiredâyou look worse for wear now, like the hours you two have been there are slowly sucking the soul out of you. He can attest to that, Evanâs own energy depleting as the case goes on and no real developments have been made, regardless of the teamâs effort.
The forensic teamâs still here searching for anything, Angel would always complain about analyzing crime scenes in mansions, Evan can only imagine how exhausted they are right now.
You sighed, hands pushing you off the bed as you turned to him, one hand extended towards him and the other deep in your jacketâs pocket.
âCome on, we have suspects to beat the shit out ofâverbally, Evan, I hope youâll remember that now.â You pointed at the cast on his face, snickering to his dismay.
Evan chuckles drily, eyes rolling but he still accepted your hand, helping himself down as you quickly dialled for an officer to allow Siolis into the interrogation room. Moments passed as you and Evan took your time walking down the halls, trying to find some semblance of joy and peace during an investigation that will definitely have you holed up in your apartment for weeks.
âYâknow the nurse kept shoving his fingers in my mouth for some reasonâŠâ
âHe wants you so bad, Evan, go back there and let him shove his fingers elsewhere.âÂ
âWhaâNo! My heart belongs to another!! Iâll tell them to shove their fingers anywhere they please.â
âEvan, thatâs disgusting.â
âYou started it!â
Eventually throughout all the bickering and jokes the two of you made it safely to the room holding Siolis, your shared laughter is seized as you settle a hand on the golden doorknob, you paused allowing yourself to steady yourself and push away any of the hesitation that came with the experience you shared with Siolis.
The hinges creaked unexpectedly as you swung the door open, and there they wereâposture perfect and relaxed, hands folded on one another atop the table in front of them, gaze sharp and expectant, as if they knew you were coming far before you approached the door, and knowing Siolis, they probably knew the moment you left the infirmary.
You walked in, forcing your earlier humiliation to stay buried deep where it couldnât be found. The pathetic feeling of needing someone elseâs help to stabilize yourself a sour taste on your tongue, you shook the embarrassment off, Gotta show off my feathers coolly like a peacock, you thought to yourself, forcing a bout of confidence to take control of your mannerisms as you leaned casually against the wall to the left of the door.
Evan followed close behind you, hit boots tapping against the floor as he looked to you, you nodded in gesture; you take this one. There was no way you could face Siolis head-on yet.
Evan hesitated as he accepted the offer, pulling a chair and sitting opposite to Siolis, still pushing himself forward, adjusting his seating uncomfortably until Siolisâ voice cut through the air, smooth and decisive, âYouâre not the primary detective on this case, Detective Mann,â they began, amusement glinting within their eyes, âI would prefer if the primary questioned me, if you would.â
The unspoken statement thick in the air, or else Iâm not talking. You blinked in shock, briefly thrown off guard as Evan slowly turned toward you in confusion and panic, his eyes screaming what the hell do I do?! You straightened up, allowing yourself to take on the personality of someone whoâs totally not affected, easing yourself into the seat beside Evan, face painted with grace and curiosity.
âYes, of course, thatâs understandable. You wanna gauge how good I am, huh? Haha.â You said almost too brightly, your laugh too forceful to be genuine as you tried to ease the tension that now suffocated the room.
Siolis smiled, indulging you, but you knew they were going to make it worse, that was what was so infuriating about Siolis. Their blunt truths, sometimes itâs as refreshing as spring water, other times you wanted nothing more than to tape their mouth shut permanently, you fiddled with your fingers as they calmly observed you.
They smiled, âI know youâre good, Y/nââ Evan looked between you two suspiciously at the sound of your name rolling off their tongue, ââI just want someone competent, that I will always be sure of when it comes to you. I just want to be interrogated by someone I like.âÂ
Every word hit Mann like a brick to the face, his brows shot up so high they mightâve hit a cloud for all he knew⊠What the fuck?! AreâAre they in love?!? His gaze darted from you to Siolis, his disbelief almost comical while Siolisâ attention remained on you without a single hiccup, as though Evan wasnât even in the room. The intensity in their stare made Evanâs throat dry, his composure cracking as he cleared his throat.
Evan attempts at regaining control, âSo, Chief Siolis, howââ
âYou spent a while longer in my room after I left you,â Siolis interrupted, not giving Evan the time of day as his voice sharpened with implication âI wonder why that is?âÂ
A smirk curved their lips, and you swore you could see mischief flicker in their eyes. They knew exactly what they were doing, and worse they knew of Evanâs pathetic crush on you, even as you say oblivious to Evanâs affections, thinking that Siolis was teasing you mercilessly. Evan nearly choked on air, his head snapping toward you so fast you worried it would spin off his neck.
âRoom?!?â He shouted, his entire body swiveling toward you, his face red and his jaw slack with regret. Why didnât you tell me this earlier?! Unless⊠oh god, I was too late, Iâm an idiot and now I have no chance!
You flushed, face turning hot and sweaty as you chuckled awkwardly, âAh donât say it like that, Chiefââ
âSiolis.â They cut you off, voice as soft as silk, a kind smile gracing their features.
You blinked, fumbling, âAlright⊠Siolis, we only talked for a while, and⊠I just took some time to wash my face properly.âÂ
Your attempts at trying to make the conversation sound better than it actually does, your hands flailing in denial as Evan sat there in complete shell shock, frozen as if every brain cell he had was in the process of imploding.
âWhy⊠Why would youâyou need to clean your face properly⊠F-For what reasonâŠâ A quiet sound leaves Evanâs mouth, his entire body stiff in disbelief as Siolis finally acknowledges him, a mischievous smirk on their face, eyes glinting with trickery.
Before you could even try to reply, trying to explain no! Itâs not like that!! Siolis took it upon themselves to make it look like that, âY/n came bursting into my room while I was changing, they looked in need, I only delivered what they needed.âÂ
Evan didnât need to hear anymore, he slumped over and fainted.
The panic that followed the chaos wrapped in exhaustion. Officers scrambled to lift him off the chair, muttering complaints about Again? The hell are you guys doing?
You stood there, rubbing at your temples, exasperation weighing on you.
âWow, I think he has high blood pressure, whyâs he so easy?âÂ
Their voice had that air, amused lilt that only made your headache worse. You sighed, walking toward their figure, hands instinctively grabbing their waist and pushing them gently back into the room. And they surprisingly allowed it without resistance, body pliant under your touch. For someone so tall and fierce, they melted easily, almost like playdough.
You sat them down, sitting where Evan was, speaking up loud and clear so the recorder could hear you. You didnât want anyone getting the wrong idea, you and Siolis were strictly platonic!! Not if they had anything to do about it.
âAll we did was talk, Siolis, and I came into your room by accident. You gave my detective a heart attack! You can mess with Evan anytime you want, but now is not the time.â
âAlright, alright,â They said with a shit-eating grin, hands raised in mock surrender, âIâll keep my tactics to myself. But you have to admit, I didnât have to say much for him to faint, Y/n, the man fainted from me baiting him!â They burst out laughing, an unrestrained and delighted sound that was far too human for someone with their level of beauty, hands clenching excitedly like a mischievous child.
You sighed, smothering your face in your hands, overtly stressed and now extremely worried if your partner will ever come out of this case alive, and with no surprise, Siolis laughs again but this time at you, softer and more delicate.
Long and thin fingers grabbed your hands, one hand pulling yours from your face and pinning them to the table and the other propping their head up in a relaxed manner.
âI come in here expecting an interrogation, yâknow sexual tension andââ You smacked their hand, though still not leaving the warmth of Siolisâ hand, fingers intertwined with theirs as you regain your composure.
You needed an out, a way to bring the interrogation back on track, so you did just that, you evened your breath and narrowed your eyes at Siolis, hands freeing themselves from their grasp. Siolis pouted playfully, but not all that bothered, he just wanted to bother Evan as much as he could earlierâunsaid affections are enough for them.
You went to push yourself up, hands pushing you away from the table, but Siolis chuckles softly and pulls you back down with your forearm, their head still propped on their hand and they spoke,
âIâm sorry, sorry I genuinely couldnât help it! Heâs exactly like Red told me, but either way. I wonât make your day worse than it is; the guards corroborated that I was gone for too long correct?â They questioned, you nodded softly, leaning in as they spoke, fully captivated by them.
Siolis closed their eyes, âI was on the top floor of the palace, dear, I had my right hand by my side the entire time. You can check the security cameras and with Assistant Gray, mention the investigation and my involvement and she will cooperate, I also had a handful of other assistants on my team helping. They were with us the entire time.â
You squinted at them in suspicion, gauging whether they were lying or not, steady breath, eye contact, no squinting, no tension. You concluded that they were telling the truth, thankfully.
âAnd for the record,â You pointed at the recording device planted on the table, âWhat was the emergency that held you up like that? If you donât mind me asking, is it really that important for a whole team of royal assistants to hide away and talk like that?â
Siolis laughed their hand leaving their chin and resting on the recording deviceâyou allowed it, those things are there for the comfort of the suspect, if they want it off then so be it, you trusted Siolis and your unit trusted your word.
âYou sound awfully like a reporter now, but,â they pressed the pause button, âletâs keep this between us and the unit A of the royal assistants.â
âUnit A?? But thatâs theâ Wait. What the hell is going on that the entirety of the A unit and the chief needed to go and talk for that long??â
They smiled, but itâs wobbly and tired, âYes, good observation. Half of unit A had to take emergency flights back home using my card, Esporaââ A neighboring country thatâs been up Xeleraâs ass since our independence from Esporian regime, ââEspora hasâagainâthreatened to declare war. Itâs been 6 attempts now and weâve been able to calm them down. Tonight they threatened to publicly execute the diplomats and assistants there to ease the waters.â
You tried to speak and panic, but they continued, âAfter further correspondence with the King of Espora, we found out that all these threats of execution and war were being made by their demented Military Commander, much like our dear Gen. Theyâre planning to dethrone him soon, and they apologized for the mistakes by sending a bunch of guns and war what-nots, and offered to decrease the cost of imports from Espora, which we declined. I mean, if we had to do that for every stupid decision Gen made we wouldnât be a queendom anymore.â
Siolis took a breath, much too tired from talking this much for this long, theyâre more used to being interrupted by half the village and taking minutes for them to resume their words. Though they felt much more relaxed talking with you, their shoulders relaxed and their hand constantly itching to grab yours.
You, on the other hand, had your head in your hands, completely in shock at the words being uttered to you, âDoesâDoes Gen knowâŠ?â
They laughed, this time genuine and strong, âHell no! If we told her weâd all be dead! Iâm not joking, this is a genuine statistic Iâve calculated more than a hundred times, the least of the destruction Gen wouldâve caused by knowing this would be our population dropping by 27%. And thatâs the least of it!!!â They exclaimed, hands flailing.
Obviously theyâve had their bad experiences with Gen, obviously no one blames her for the trauma sheâs endured and she is enduring but could she pretty please step down from her position or not make it everyone elseâs problem? She damn near killed you once for even hinting she did a crime, only stopped by her brother Grim, you couldnât imagine all the things she couldâve done to Blunt Siolis.
âI⊠I believe you, first of all, but also, does Queen Nia know?â They nodded, âShe does, thatâs how we connected with the King of Espora during all this, they were childhood friends, fun fact.â
You nodded solemnly, this time standing without Siolisâ calloused hands pulling you back, âOh, hey. Your security camera guys are incompetent and shit. You need to hire new ones.â A loud laugh bellowed from them, their head leaning back and exposing their neck to you, a tiny adamâs apple you were never aware of showed itself bobbing in joy.
You smiled, hand extended towards themâa simple gesture, but one ingrained from years of habit and courtesy, for your superiors in the League and in the police force. No matter how nimble Siolis is, youâd been raised to extend a hand, not stand idly like a bumbling idiot as they helped themselves up.
Their eyes flickered up to you, a spark of amusement and respect glinting there before their fingers slipped around yours, and instead of using your hand for assistance, they gave a gentle tug, pulling you forward until you stumbled down to their face, your own head by their own, their breath fanning by your ear. Their lips brushed your cheek, a fleeting, weightless but appreciative kiss that lingered far longer on your mind than your skin.
âThank you, sergeant,â They murmured, voice carrying that adorable blend of warmth and love that only appeared when they were drunk, a rare sight. âit truly has been a laugh being around you tonight. And I needed it too, youâre seeing more of me, my dear.âÂ
The words landed with devastating ease, slipping past your guard as though theyâd always belonged there. Then came a soft sideways hug, brief and almost teasing, before they rose and went to the door, allowing an officer to escort them where Red is, allowing them to ask you first as you nodded mindlessly.
They just left you there! Frozen like an ice cream! Your heart battered in your chest loud enough for you to hear, you could still feel the ghost of their kiss on your hot cheek, mind a flurry of emotion. What the hell just happened!?
It took a moment or two before you managed to shake off the shock, forcing your limbs to move again. You left the room, the faint scent of Siolisâ cologne still heavy on the air, and nearly collided with Evan who was running down the halls like a mad man, oblivious to the Siolis walking right by him.
âI-Iâm here!! Wh-what happened?! Whereâ oh my god, give me a second,â He keeled over, hands on his knees as his chest heaved as though he ran a marathon. His hand slapped against the wall, narrowly missing the painting of an apple beside him, you laughed loudly freely, the kind that echoed through the polished corridor. And poor Evan, for all his dramatic, would gladly walk through fire if it meant he could hear it again.
âYouâre okay Evan,â You assured him between chuckles, clapping him on the back in attempt to help him cough out the exhaustion, âSiolis has an alibi, security cameras apparently caught them and the rest of assistants, but we have to check first. They had to address a crisis, there were a bunch of important documents that burned in a freak accident.â
The lie slipped off your tongue freely like second nature. Which it is, itâs almost effortless for you if not for the guilt. Your background required you to mask your intelligence and prowess behind a dumb persona, hanging off the arm of a decoy as you took control of the mission without alerting your victims.
You and Evan took your time once again, trying to enjoy your time as you debriefed him the rest of the interrogation, his arm protectively wrapped around your shoulders the entire time.
Unaware of the way Siolis acted around you, soft and affectionate, a trait none see other than their family, the way they casually spoke to you as if you were old friends. Saying this won't be the last that you'll say them is barely hitting the mark.
âWhat the hell was that about, by the way? Seriously, on the job??â
âEvan, it was an accident! I didnât know it was their room and even if I did, I didnât know they were there!!â
âThen next time come to my room! Why the hell did you need a moment in theirs.â
âYou donât have a fancy ass room in the Grand Melari Palace of Xelera, Evan. Iâd go back in that room any day, itâs so clean and spacious and it smells like rosesâyour roomâs a mess!â
âYeah wellââ
âGood evening, Sergeant. Detective.â
The voice sliced through your bickering like a freshly sharpened knife. The both of you jumped out of your skin, Evan reflexively clinging you to his chest, arms tightly wound around you as he spun the both of you around.
When the both of you turned and processed the man standing ahead of you, eyeing the contact suspiciously, you realized Chief Grim of the Police force is watching Evan, my colleague, cuddle me like weâre together.
âCh-chief Grim!â You blurted out, scrambling to stand, trying to look as professional as possible, pushing Evan off you, damn near colliding into the wall. âHow c-can I help you?â You nearly saluted, ignoring Evanâs look of utter despair as your face burned so hot it could melt steel itself.
âIf I may interrupt this⊠interaction, sergeant a word please.â Grimâs eyes flicked briefly to Evan before focusing on you, voice deceptively calm.
âOf course!!â You replied instantly, perhaps too eagerly, but you didnât care, you always made your appreciation for your boss obvious, not ever bothering with hiding it.
You followed after Grim down the gilded halls, the echo of your boots against the marble floor sounding too loud, leaving Evan behind to mourn whatever chance he foolishly thought he had.
