A sad story I have - the only shiny Pokemon I have ever found in main series is a shiny Starly in Pearl. I didn’t have any Pokeballs on me because I told myself ‘oh it’ll be fine I can just get the free ones from Lucas, it’s not like I’ll run into a shiny!’ and jinxed myself. I am still salty about it 4 months later and I am still determined to reclaim it (maybe with the cute charm glitch, even if it is kinda cheating)
This was literally SO PAINFUL to read omg,, that super sucks, Staraptor is SUCH a cool shiny too :(
If there's one thing we've learned today it's that shinies in pre-gen 5 have a 1/8192 chance of showing up....unless you're not prepared for it. Then it's a 99% chance.
