“are those...” dahlia trailed off, her head tilting to the side curiously, “flowers?” she shifted a little more behind her door in order to conceal the fact that she wasn’t exactly dressed for the public. beneath the large sweater that she had on, there wasn’t much else. “do you bring flowers to every hook up?”

                            NO SANE woman would ever sign up to be the wedding planner for the best friend’s wedding, especially if they were in love with them. but love never did make anyone act rationally. she had instantly regretted the offer the moment it left her lips, but with everyone in attendance having heard her suggestion... well, she had no choice, did she? perhaps there was a silver lining in this situation. she could bury herself in the wedding planning, and perhaps that would distract her from her aching heart. she was quite good with planning events; had organized a great many galas and dinners for various charities she supported. a wedding should be fine... she hoped. addie managed to laugh lightly, before she turned away, just as everyone else began to partake in their own conversations. the brunette took a long sip from the wine glass, before grabbing another one from a passing waiter. addie stiffened when she heard his voice, before turning around with the smile still plastered on her face. “of course not. if you two would be open to the idea, i’d... love to plan your wedding,” addie replied. it was a miracle how steady her voice was, considering how something was clawing inside at her chest. “how does it feel, being an engaged man?” she asked lightly, taking another sip from her new glass of wine. 

      “    i don’t get   sad .      "    blue poppy eyes are glazed with bottled wrath  ,   though she easily dismisses cause for concern ,     that pale hand continues to    squeeze    the champagne bottle in its unyielding grasp ----    tighter and tighter  ,     until ----       it pops !       champagne splashing against ivory tiles  ,   foam pooling under the bottom of her heel with a dull blotch of red mixed in its bubbly concoction .    ”      i get even .    ”

“i just... i really think it’s funny that after all this time, you’re suddenly interested again.” typically wearing a permanent smile, the fact that julián’s mouth was set into a thin line was rather unsettling. “it’s not something to do with the fact i’ve moved on, is it?”
