A very Merry Christmas to @singloom. Here is your gift for the @ignoctsecretsanta exchange. I do hope you enjoy it! You had such a great prompt and I had a good time writing the story.

Me and the other half are planning on going to this at some point before Christmas. It’s just trying to work out days we both have off, but it’s definitely on the list of things to do because - video games. :D

1. In what situations do you feel most like yourself?

Whenever I'm with betweenrageandseren1ty because she understands me so well and I feel comfortable enough to be myself around her. I also find conventions a great place to be myself because they are normally very positive atmospheres for people to be themselves.

2. What is your favorite movie and why do you like it?

Too many to name, but I love Red Cliff (because it is a great film about one of my favourite periods in the Three Kingdoms Epic) and Disney's Mulan (because Chinese history and symbolism aplenty and BE A MAN.) 

3. Have you ever had a bad interview?  Or what is the most worrisome aspect of being interviewed? (this can be any kind of interview)

Every interview is daunting because I'm a nervous person anyway, so trying to convince someone of my worth is difficult. I have had one or two where I felt I could have done a much better job because I let my nerves get the best of me.

4. What is your go-to, default activity when you’re bored or have nothing to do?

Reading or playing video games and I always have a book or game on hand.

5. Did you read a lot as a child?  Do you read a lot now?

Oh, yes. I grew up being encouraged by my mother to read and I still love reading. My dream is actually to work in a library and encourage others to relish in the joy of reading too. I'm also one of those people that always has a book in my bag.

6. What fashion trend have you liked the most?

Does cosplay count? Fashion trends honestly don't mean much to me. I just go for the comfy and easy to wear style.

7. How many languages do you have at least elementary proficiency in?

Gaelic. French. Spanish. Japanese. (Others I'm learning at my leisure, but I would say I'm not fluent in yet.)

8. Do you tend to dwell on things that bother you?

Totally. I worry too much on stuff, especially the small silly things.

9. Do you approach others or prefer to be approached? (Or neither?)

If it's something important, I prefer to be approached.

10. What’s your favorite video game?  If you don’t like games, just say what your favorite interest or hobby is.

Oh, boy. How much time do you have? I love the likes of Legend of Zelda, Ganbare Goemon, Persona, Final Fantasy, Eternal Champions, Mortal Kombat, Pokemon, etc, etc, etc.

11. On average, do you like, dislike, or feel neutral about most people?

I like to think of myself as a hopeful realist. I expect the worst, but hope for the best in people. I do have some wonderful people in my life, which I am very thankful for and I know there's good ones out there.

I seriously need to get around to watching/reading this series. I’ve heard some good things about it. All I know about it is a short demo of the 3DS game on my Japanese handheld. Recommend it?

I haven't read much of the manga, so I can only comment on the anime, but yes I would recommend checking the series out!

It has some of the best characters I've seen in a shonen series (especially the female characters). It made me laugh and it certainly has made me cry more than once, haha~

I feel your pain, skulkingfox. If there were showings in Scotland being announced, that would make my year.

It would make me the happiest foxy in the world.

I think our best bet though, sadly, is when Scotland loves Anime comes back later this year. OTL

I hear you. Customer service at Christmas time can be very difficult for all involved. It’s a lovely time of the year, but working it can be a mixed bag sometimes. I hope it goes well for you.
