Yes, it’s easy to say Derrick Henry had an amazing Thursday night. But Chief can’t get over just how amazing it was. Indulge him:

His 53 WFL points ranks eighth for all single-game performances this season. The seven performances ahead him (and then the next five behind him) are all quarterbacks.

Coming into Week 14, the best single-game performance from an RB was Todd Gurley’s 34 in Week 6. So Henry topped the year’s best RB performance by two long touchdowns and 25 yards.

If you look at Henry’s accomplishment in terms of as a matter of percentage -- besting the previous weekly high by 56% -- an equivalent performance by a QB would require 600 passing yards, three short TDs, five long TDs, and a 2-point conversion pass. 

Which is ridiculous, because why would a team go for two in a game when they’ve already scored eight touchdowns?

Coming into Week 14, Henry had scored 48 points all season. If Todd Gurley were to score 110% of his own season total this Sunday, he would need to run for 1,000 yards, ten short touchdowns AND ten long touchdowns.

Before the game, Henry ranked 95th among RB/WR/TEs in WFL points scored. He’s currently 25th. If Josh Bellamy moved up 70 spots on that list ... he still wouldn’t be in the top 100.
