Becoming Ungoing
Last weekend I decided to use my time at home to work on some music. I recorded three new songs and finished off a song (‘Autumn Moon’) I started last year which features Joe Ryan from Fair Ohs on drums.
The EP is called Becoming Ungoing and it’s released today.
Working on music this week has been really therapeutic and has helped me keep the anxiety which I'm sure we're all feeling at bay.
Lots of the birdsong was recorded out of the window. The cover photo was taken on a government-regulated walk.
The title is taken from Finnegans Wake because why not. The first song is called ‘Hawaii’ because it's in a guitar tuning known as Hawaiian: FACGCE. The third song is called ‘Sundarbans’ because that was an answer to a question on University Challenge the other day (it's a mangrove area in the delta formed by the confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna Rivers in the Bay of Bengal).
