Home Headcanon:

Dhana will always consider Calimshan as home of a sorts, though given her nomadic lifestyle, home is usually wherever she roams. Snail with home on her back kinda thing. I don’t think she has ever considered settling down anywhere in particular, but certain locations (i.e. Amn, Neverwinter etc.) do bring her back time and time again.

Work Headcanon:

When it comes to completing bounties, mercenary work and the like, Dhana never really comes across as overly professional. Sure, she will get the work done, but where the goods or missing persons come back whole is another matter. 

Ridiculous Headcanon:

The mercenary leader smiles and sets the gift on a shelf occupied by many similar precious round objects. Although none of them are labeled, Jarlaxle clearly remembers the specifics of each one’s origins. “My dear Ophelia,” he muses out loud, “I must admit that you’ve made me most curious about where ‘here’ is. I believe that I can indeed imagine how difficult it would be to find a portal to the Prime from many different places. Where are you among those, I wonder?”

An idea occurs to him and he picks up the pearl, then speaks to it as though it were the bard. “I would’ve much preferred that you’d visited me in person, however I certainly wouldn’t be so discourteous as to decline this fine gift. Perhaps, through it, you’ve told me more than a visit would have.” Tossing it into the air and catching it expertly, Jarlaxle pockets the pearl and sets off in search of resources that might help him better understand the gift’s origins. Even should his efforts come to naught, the mercenary doubts that he’d be disappointed. It is a very nice pearl, after all.

“Quieter, but isn’t everyone? More tired, though; it’s dangerous, being on the road alone, particularly when you go where I go and do what I do. Sleeping during the day is hard enough, but when I actually sleep nights, I have to keep an ear open for danger, or at best for Nutmeg alerting me that there’s danger. Traveling with someone halves that worry, at the utter minimum.”

death: do you like change?

“It depends entirely on what kind of change is under discussion. I would grow restless if I was kept in a village, or even in a city like Waterdeep. I like traveling, like seeing new places, new people. But I also like what I do - how could I not? It is possible for a paladin to settle down, in essence, retire; I don’t ever want to be that kind of paladin.”

tower: what do you most want to change about yourself?

Ophelia had a very rapid coughing fit that sounded strangely like she was trying to cover giggling.

“That depends of how you define spontaneous and stable. If spontaneous means being surprised, why not. I do not have preconceived ideas of what a relationship should be. I guess it’s depend mostly of the person you’re with, and the things you’re ready to accept or not.”
