Hit Break Point Primitive Error, A Possible Simple Fix
So I was innocently messing around and extracting Sims appearances in SimPE thinking it was completely safe and doing it the right way... until I got these INFINITE error boxes about Nina Caliente getting the error âHit Break Point Primitiveâ. I kept resetting it, but it didnât do anything than showing up again, and she was invisible.Â
After searching for a while, I found this post in ModTheSims and guess what? The person did the same thing I was doing. They were extracting Sims appearances, but they forgot about the files in SavedSims folder and somehow the data kinda separated itself between her UID files - as the SavedSims file had the same name as her Characters file.Â
I donât know if what happened is 100% what Iâm saying because I donât know that much about this side of the game in that depth but it makes sense, as the game is known by corrupting itself if the data doesnât find the right place to go.Â
Simply do this, presuming you still have the SavedSims file from that Sim: Open your Sim Character File in SimPE (your original one from the Neighborhood, the one that is triggering the error) and check if they have any files missing. Compare it to another functional Sim in the same Neighborhood. In my case, Iâve opened Nina Character File and found out that she had her Age Data missing, much like the first person in the MTS post. I just opened her Sim Character File from the SavedSims folder, found the AgeData there, extracted it and added it to her original file, and then deleted the SavedSims file. Itâs just like that.
I donât know if itâs possible that you have more data missing or so, but it would be probably in that SavedSims file from your Sim that you had extracted the appearance before. Curiously, I had other Sims that I extracted the appearance in the same way and it didnât affect them, just Nina. But it can happens.Â
âWhy did you made this enormous post?â So people - hopefully - can find this in the future, as I had a difficult time searching for an answer to this. Hope this can help someone, and a big thank you for the 2 people involved in the MTS post.
And a tip, as the user in MTS said, it is needed to duplicate the extracted Sim in BodyShop before you open your game again. I didnât know that âtil now. lol
