The Sims added Top surgery scars, chest binders, and shapewear!

so i was in game earlier today (less than an hour before this issue happened) and i needed to go in game to check something in one of my saves. after the sims logo shows up on screen there’s usually a loading screen after it and then that takes you to the main menu. however instead of it the main menu loading like it should, i was stuck on an infinite loading screen.

i updated my game yesterday and i didn’t have any issues (i have has issues with infinite loading screens because this but only when trying to access a save never literally before the main menu), and like i said i was in game less than an hour before this issue started happening. other people who are having the same issue also said that they updated their game as well.

i currently only have mcc installed (which was cleared for the latest patch by the deaderpool), pose teleport and better expections. all of these mods are compatible with the latest patch and i haven’t installed/ changed anything since the last time i was in game.

Okay, Immediate thoughts on the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack

First of all, i have to get this out of the way: I wish it was called Sims 4 Horsin' Around. Missed opportunity.

I won't lie: I wasn't one of the people clamoring for horses, either in Cats and Dogs or Cottage Living. But I'm still excited to have them join the game. And as I've before, splitting them off into the own packs can be a bit annoying, but it does allow the team to go deeper with them. Hopefully that's actually the case.

Speaking of which. Treating horses like cats and dogs was the right choice. I'm glad they're part of the family, unlike cows, llamas, and chickens. I'm glad they have the same customization options as dogs and cats. Although that does just highlight the need or a human CAS color wheel.

The world looks really nice. I'm glad to know it's 3 neighborhoods, but I am really curious about the amount of lots and their sizes. One of the neighborhoods is a national park. I'm hoping it's more like the Henford-on-Bagley wood area (where there are remote lots) rather then the national park from Granite Falls. And I do want a nice variety of lot sizes, especially the bigger ones for full ranches and farms.

The small goats and sheep are cute. Since you can actually sheer and milk them, I'm curious how they interact with other packs (Can we use sheep's wool for knitting?)

The Build and Buy look good. Fine. I've been iching for more (south)western decorations. I'm so glad we have a full kitchen set. I'm personally not the biggest fan of cow print everything but that's okay. I'm mostly excited for those barn doors and windows. Can't wait to make a Johanna Gaines/Fixer Upper TM inspired house.

Kinda the same opinion on the human CAS. Nothing really stood out as amazing but so far nothing horrendous. A lot of it really isn't my personal style, but that's okay. I think it fits the theme.

I'm SO relieved the team hired an Indigenous sensitivity reader, added specific Native American items to the pack, and are donating to the Sacred Healing Circle. That's really important, and I'm glad they took that step. I hope they continue to have these types of collaborations and input.

So we’re still doing the pre-order bonus content I see. Can they please stop that? I'm begging now.

So we all at this point have Ptsd from the infant update, Post-traumatic Sims disorder.

You either hear stories about how updating The Sims 4 was a dance on roses or how Ea just NUKED people's computers. But honestly what do we expect from Ea, which if you didn't know Ea is a acronym for Evil Assembly.

Just kidding don't sue me plz....

Well now everyone sit around me like the grandkids of veterans, so I can tell my war stories.

First of all infants wasn't released until 10 am pst, which in my time-zone is the equivalent to 6 pm. So not only did I have to go around awaiting the update all day. I then had to boot up the game at 6:15 pm only to realize the game hadn't updated ¬_¬ . I tried to update my game, but there were no update available on the Ea app. Then tried to repair my game, which took an infinity. But finally when my game was finalizing the repair, the "update required" button appeared. Every time I clicked to update the game, the Ea app downloaded the update. Only for the game to not been updated, I just continued to try to download the update over and over again. Until I closed and restarted the Ea app, but that shit app logged me out. When I logged I got the infamous pop up…

"Logging didn't go as planned" - Ea 2023

I had to restart my computer 4 times only to get logged in to the Ea app and have to face a blank library. Not an empty library like everybody else, but a blank screen. Restarted my computer 2 more times. Finally at 6:55 pm my game fucking UPDATED, infants was finally here. I was so relived to actually play with infants, after everything I had been through I was fucking exhausted. I painfully sat through the loading screens and was just about to start playing. When I had to fucking leave my house and run errands, I did not get to play with infants that day…

Well… turns out infants are boring as hell with out Growing Together.

I didn't have a horrible experience with the update as I deleted my mods folder and backed up my save files before. But I was definitely miserable during the process T_T .
