Generation 3, Chapter 9 (3.9) – Back Home

Previously on the Pickering Legacy Challenge…

The Pickering clan took a weekend trip to Selvadorada… and back in Willow Creek, things are returning to the domestic usual.

Isabelline is happy to be home – the jungle is no place for a pregnant woman. The only place she wants to be is at home – with her toddler running around her feet…

… when her feet aren’t up, in her newly decorated bathroom, with a mud mask on and incense burning.

Going out is just stressful – something she’s reminded of when the family are invited to cousin Fawn’s birthday party. Isabelline pulls her most flowing dress over her baby bump and drags herself to San Myshuno…

To the apparent utter disinterest of her husband.

And the party does not go swimmingly. In fact, it very nearly goes with a bang.

Most people clear right out at the sight of the flames.

Nice to see that being married to the leader of the free world hasn’t had any effect on the zany wardrobe of Fawn’s wife, Aadhya!

But everything’s okay, because… Garnet’s there to do push ups in front of the smog?

Never been more glad we got rid of him…

… even if Indigo thinks otherwise.

Even the birthday girl is hardly in the party spirit:

If that’s the most interesting thing to do at the party, it’s a dull one, Fawn. You’re edging towards fruit-and-yoghurt parfait disastrous territories.

There’s really nothing to it but to eat…

… and sleep.

And that’s fine, because Isabelline needs her rest.
